Great for a low calorie snack
These are great for a low calorie snack. I usually have a half dozen with my afternoon scotch. They wake up the taste-buds where you think you have been eating a lot more than you did. Much healthier than eating potato chips and much more satisfying. The pepperoncini quality is high and consistent from order to purchase order. After opening the gal container, I keep the container in the refrigerator. When empty, the container makes for a good storage 1 gal container.

No, it's not "tough", they are crunchy
These are much like the old Roland, the Turkish peppers, not the Egyptian which to me have an odd flavor.Like those and the Del Destino (Gallon), these are larger peppers than you get with the Marzetti and other Greek peppers in the quart containers. They also have more crunch, they are full peppers and less squished and soggy like you get with Marzetti. Like the Egyptian Roland, they are more salty than the smaller Greek peppers but not as salty as the Del Destino. Those are very salty. The jars i got were also on the hotter scale of the pepperoncini. They aren't going to burn your face off, but if you expect the more pickle than pepper you will get more heat. In this way they are like the spicier Marzetti Greek peppers.4 Gallons is a lot, this is a good buy for commercial use, but the shelf life is pretty good for pickled items so they would also work well in personal use if you can find a spot for the jar when you open it.All in all, a good pepper and definitely something I plan to buy again.

Taste ok, some pretty hot, small size
I plow through pepperoncini peppers, so I bought these to save some money. The value is amazing, but the taste and quality is nit as great (for me) as the peppers I am used to buying locally. I'm used to larger, softer peppers with a more salty-vinegary taste. These are smaller, tougher, and spicier. I can't eat as many in one sitting, which is probably a good thing. I do like them on salads, but not just to.eqt out of the jar. To me, I feel like I might like them better in cooking.

Very good peppers
I bought these because my grandsons love them with their spaghetti. They are a little spicy which we like. At least these should last a while. They go through the smaller jars in about 3 meals.

Excellent quality, amazing price
I've been eating Pepperoncini for 40 years. These rank up there as some of the best.A little jar is costing almost $4...these come out to $15 a GALLON!I see a few reviews complaining about these being smaller...then just eat a couple more then. These are some of the more milder ones I have had...so not sure about all the too spicy reviews.$15 a GALLON!

TableTop King Whole Pepperoncini 1 Gallon - 4/Case
Tasty and delicious product for sandwiches, salads, straight-up, however one like pepperoncini. Save the brine because it adds a lot of zest to many foods. This is a bargain that cannot be found in any local grocery store.
