It should not need a new one but if it does you can look up what kind you need and how you change it on Google. **Q: what kind of film does it use?** A: It can use the original Polaroid 600 film that is no longer made since 2008 and is thus expired with no guarantee of quality and it can also use the Imposible Project film that is the only film for most Polaroid camera models that is currently manufactured. There is dust ALL OVER IT. It’s like it’s been sitting in a basement and someone found it. As soon as I put it near my eye to take a picture I wanted to throw up. I’ve used alcohol to clean it and it’s still smelling. Wish I could take a picture of the smell. Pictures come out horrible. You’ll be better off getting a INSTAX because this is not like the old school pictures. There is brown stuff all through the camera as well. Like a clay or something. When I push the shutter button it takes MULTIPLE attempts to take the picture. This is horrible as this was supposed to be a surprise gift for someone! Also, the pictures are horrible. I don’t understand all the great reviews on this camera. Waste of money.
