Perfect for non professional
For many years, until 2007, I was a professional bike mechanic - working in a shop and also with professional race teams. Long story short - things have changed. My 'old' bleed kits no longer fit all of the brakes and often now they don't have an open reservoir at the top - requiring two adapters and syringes - or a 'makeshift' (little pot) reservoir.I was asked to bleed some Magura MT2's (which had no top reservoir). This did the job just fine. Granted my expensive professional kits are better quality but they wouldn't do the job here. This did what was required.Good points - multiple fitments, dual syringes, sufficient mineral oil, little case and good price. Not so good points - the plastic adapters are not as good quality as the metal in the pro kits (read Magura, Shimano etc) but are adequate. As I am no longer bleeding multiple brakes each day - this will probably last me until my time is up. Based on that - 4 stars. If like me you get asked to bleed all kind of brakes this is just the job. If you are only occasionally going to be doing your own - pro kits are better quality (I just didn't want to buy 4).

Fantastic Product - literally a 5 minute job with this kit!
Cheap and comes with all the pieces you need. Firstly, it comes with all bet bits you need to bleed the braked on Shimano Ultegra R8000 Road Brakes. You do not need to buy the Shimano adaptor.I will share an idiots guide below in case anyone needs it.1) Slide the brass retainer over the clear tube and push the end over the syringe. The brass ring is to hold it tight.2) Remove the wheel, retaining pin and screw to remove the brake pads.3) Fit the yellow brake pad in the void and re-apply the retaining screw (If the yellow block won’t fit, use something to push the pistons back then apply again).4) Slide the tube clamp over the tube5) Attach the hose and syringe to the bleed valve, using the 7mm spanner (included), open the bleed valve, literally 1/2 a turn.6) Close the tube clamp and go to the lever.7) Peel the hood back, expose the screw.8) Using a 2mm Allen key, remove the screw and keep safe.9) Find the yellow adaptor to fit the hole, try the larger ones first.10) Attach the yellow funnel and 1/2 fill with oil.11) Release the tube clamp and draw the fluid back into the syringe until there are no bubbles (you will see the fluid being drawn out of the funnel)12) Close the bleed valve on the calliper then pump the brake lever a few times, you may see some bubbles, but until it feels firm. (Took me about 6 pumps then it was solid)13) Push the plunger into the funnel to stop oil leaking out when you remove the assembly.14) Carefully unscrew the yellow Cullen and adaptor, when removed re-apply the brake lever screw and tighten.15) Clean the area of oil, isopropyl alcohol works well, or just wipe with a tissue and put the hood back.16) Clamp the hose at the syringe, carefully remove and immediately wipe the area clean.15) Re-assemble the brake pads and wheel etc, and enjoy your new brakes.I cannot fault this system. I am a 1st time brake bleeder. It took 5 minutes, worked flawlessly. You don’t need any other kit, or to pay your shop £25 to do it for you.

Works as shown
Very pleased, it had everything I needed to bleed my SLX brakes, including a little flat spanner for the bleed nut which was useful. Process was almost as identical and simple as shown on the video barring a few minor details; it doesn't tell you to remove the brake pads and insert the provided block spacers (probably obvious but nearly caught me out) and also it shows drawing 20ml of oil out of the bottle after already pouring 20ml into the system is impossible because the hose isnt long enough and I had to open the other bottle. I'd say it took me over an hour but I was being pretty meticulous following the video to the letter, I think you could get quick at it with practice. Brakes are now very consistent and positive but didn't solve the large amount you have to pull the rear brakes to bite (I guess that's just a fault with mine). Note that the syringes are marked single use only (I don't see why with a good clean?) But there's two of everything, I think you could do both brakes twice with what's supplied and then just buy more mineral oil unless there's a really good reason the plastic is single use.

Recommended for whoever will chance hydraulic brake rework
Pushed by very incompetent and expensive repair shop staff, I thought to myself that I could give it a go and the worst that could happen is me going to another repair shop to fix any error I would have done if it didn't go well. Very much helped by an online tutorial, I eventually managed to fix my faulty hydraulic brake (just the one). The kit is very complete for all the bleeding job. You will probably need extra tools to go ahead with the task.Obviously, I do not encourage people to do this delicate task on their own if they don't feel it right. I just did this because I lose any hope of decent servicing around.

Pretty good product for bleeding shimano brakes
Great value, got my brakes bled without too much fuss, the only thing i'd like to see changed is that its pretty hard to get the bleed block between the caliper pistons, so i manually ground a little chamfer on the lower edge to make insertion of the block a bit easier - then it was easy from there on. with this one little change from the manufacturer, the product would get 5 stars from me.

Comprehensive kit, Excellent value!
All you need to bleed and restore your hydraulic disc brakes on your bike/s. Worked fine on my mid price Shimano sets. Would imagine that the additional parts and adaptors would work with most other popular brands (but best to check). If you’re new to doing this, consider checking out a YouTube clip first and rehearsing the process beforehand. Straightforward really, but easy to goof up (embarrassed to admit I mistook a fixing bolt for a bleed valve in my rush..) Enough in this kit for several bleeds. Stopping power restored!
