GENUINE ITEM. OUTSTANDING FEEDER!!
TLDR: Spectacular feeder. Get it!I have two of these, one from my local birdfeed store, the other I bought from Amazon, see below. My (strictly indoor) cats love it! It keeps them entertained all day. They never seem to bore of it.As an avid birder, I love it too! I have never before gotten so close to live birds— it’s amazing. I sit within a foot of them! Fill it with quality birdseed and enjoy the show. I get chickadees, titmice, goldfinches, house finches, nuthatches, cardinals, downies, and even an occasional red-bellied woodpecker! The birds can see me and my cats on the other side of the glass, but they quickly figured out that we can’t touch them. The only time they seem to spook is when one of us (usually one of my cats) suddenly moves. I know they can see us inside, because if the feeder is empty and titmice see me in the room, they try to hover in the air in front of the window — trying to get my attention?! How cute is that! It’s happened enough times that I know it’s not a fluke. With the suction cups provided, the feeders hang securely on the window. I have mine stuck on the middle of two big windows, and an added bonus is that most squirrels can’t get to it! I say “most” because one night I looked out and saw a flying squirrel sitting on the seed tray munching on the leftovers. Having never seen one up close, that was very exciting! Gray and red squirrels (daytime squirrels) have never gotten to it.I’ve had the feeders for about a month, and I’ve only once had a feeder fall off the window. That was one of the nights I saw a flying squirrel onboard. When I decided to purchase a second one of these feeders but was unable to get to my local birdfeed store, I looked on Amazon and this listing showed the lowest price for it. I had the same question that other people posted - is this the genuine item or a knock off? I was suspicious given that the listing did not show the manufacturer’s box, and the genuine item is US made and the listing said made in China. I went ahead planning to return it if not satisfied. I’m happy to report that this listing is for the “real thing.” The Aspects Cafe Feeder box it came in lists the item as US-made, and both the box and feeder are identical to the one I purchased locally.Even though you can find cheaper versions of window-style bird feeders on Amazon, I strongly recommend this one over those. It has features that in the end will save you money:1. Three super heavy-duty suction cups. With normal use, this feeder (and the seed in it) isn’t going to fall off your window. The package includes a few helpful tips for using the suction cups - like rubbing them with your fingers before use and “burping” any air out of them once installed (like you would for Tupperware).2. It has a hopper (i.e. seed reservoir) that distributes the seed as the birds eat it. So your seed supply is protected from precipitation and wind prior to use.3. The seed tray has small holes in it. They’re small enough so that your feed won’t drop on the ground, but any liquid will drain from the tray. Thar’s essential if you live in an area that frequently gets precipitation.4. Really easy to remove, fill, and replace the hopper.5. Only a couple parts to clean. Could not be easier![FYI - Black oil sunflower seeds will attract more birds to your feeder than any other seed, period. I only use shelled (aka “hulled”) seed because I don’t want to have the mess from shells to cleanup. Yes, it is more expensive than unshelled, but everything you buy, the birds eat. Think of it like buying meat - you pay more for boneless, but you can eat all of it. I also toss in some peanut halves which the woodpeckers really like.]This feeder is a winner. Highly recommend!

Terrific!
I debated between this feeder and the Droll Yankees window feeder, and ended up buying both. Filled with black oil seed, both are constantly busy with chickadees and nuthatches (though I expect that next summer we'll get a wider variety of small birds at them). Both feeders also seem very secure -- to my surprise; I hadn't expected suction cups to do the job as well as these are doing. Both also offer a lifetime warranty. It's easy to see the birds at both feeders. However, the design of this Aspects feeder is far superior in a few ways:1. This feeder holds more seed.2. If the birds stay at the feeder and eat (as opposed to grabbing a seed to carry away and eat elsewhere or stash for the winter), the Droll Yankees feeder ends up with a lot of seed hulls, so you're dumping out good seed along with the hulls when you go to fill it. This feeder ends up with far fewer hulls, and being a gravity feeder, you don't have the problem of having to dump out hulls in order to fill it.3. This feeder is much, MUCH easier to fill. You don't need to remove the feeder from the suction cups, you just slide the feeder out from its roof (which remains on the suction cups), fill it, and slide it back in. Very, VERY elegant, ingenious design!I've already ordered a second one of these, and I suspect (counting windows) that there will be several more in the future! (I also ordered the Aspects Jewel Box hummingbird window feeder and am likewise delighted with it -- another elegant design and excellent execution!)

Sturdy plastic, strong suction, easy installation, need a Phillips head screwdriver.
So I just got my window café in the mail and installed it. It has been too cold for any birds to be out, but now that it’s warming up I hope I can attract some soon. The first thing I noticed when I unpackaged the feeder is that the directions did not jibe exactly with what I got in the package (as you can see from the photo below). Suction cups and screws came in a separately wrapped plastic package, and were not attached to the roof as the paperwork said. Other than that, there were no problems. With a simple Philips-head screwdriver, I attached the suction cups to the plastic roof. The tray did come attached to the hopper. It doesn’t look however, like the hopper comes apart from the tray and I didn’t want to force it. Overall, all of the pieces seem sturdy. The suction cups attached easily. I followed the directions completely using the oil from my finger to lubricate the suction cups before I put them on. Everything I’ve heard online says this is an extremely important step. Trying to use water or spit is not going to be the same, as that will dry out and cause the suction cups to release. I was also pleasantly surprised when I realized that my windows tilt in for cleaning. This made the installation extremely easy and will allow me to easily refill and clean the feeder. This is especially helpful because our large windows, which face the backyard, are on the second floor. I also did some research online and filled it with shelled sunflower seeds so I will see how that works before trying other mixes. UPDATE: the feeder attracts smaller birds. We have only gotten finches and titmice at the feeder, and one very brave acrobatic squirrel! The suction cups are really strong and held up under the weight of the squirrel!

Great suction
Great window feeder. Very robust. Easy to attach, suction is excellent. Food doesn’t get very wet with the rain, bit damp a few times. Have had it on my 1st floor flat window for about a month, no problems. Small great tits & blue tits found it within a few days. Highly recommend this

This is an excellent bird feeder
This is an excellent bird feeder. Very good quality. We can't get any birds to come though. Not a fault of the feeder. We have a larger feeder in the back yard and perhaps they don't want to come so close to the house. The suggestion to put some seed on the window ledge would never work. The squirrels would be there in a flash!

Very pleased
I have had two other window feeders and to date this is by far my favourite. Easy to put up (and stays up), easy to fill and easy to view the birds making use of it.

Window viewing bird feeder
Had one before but broke. Awesome way to view birds up close. Sheltered from the weather and doesn't damage bird food. No critters either
