Bulbrite 65R30FL/N 65W Full Spectrum R30 Reflector Flood Light

I have mixed feelings about these bulbs. On the one hand I do think that they are helpful for SAD, on the other hand they burn out so fast that the cost would be prohibitive. I have turned to other methods rather than keep buying bulbs that burn out quickly.

Great bulbs, but they do not last long! Some of them had to be replaced w/in weeks of installation!

I replaced the half-a-dozen recessed floods in the kitchen area with these. I like them--they are better than the normal flood lights--but I didn't get the really-white-light I get from the full spectrum, compact flourescent bulbs. It may be just the difference in the bulbs, or may be glass vs. coatings...I don't know.

Very short life on this bulb. One of them burned out in 4 months of limited use, far cry from 2500 hrs claimed.

Looks like Varilux. We don't know if it will last as long. I would order these bulbs again since the Varilux are not available.

I have always used full spectrum lighting in my kitchen - it just makes me feel better during the long, gray winter and spring days. When I walk into my kitchen and flip on the lights, I feel better immediately! It's a good way to start my day. :) I have FS bulbs in a number of my lamps around the house - they're light natural light and better for my health.

delivered intact; installed right away but immediately disappointed that the light that was emtted was basically the same yellowish colour as regular floodlights; unlike the clear whiter light cast by our other full spectrum bulbs.
