Time Killers: Kazue Kato Short Story Collection Paperback – September 2, 2014

So basically this a collection of short stories created by Kazue Kato (Creator/Author of the Blue Exorcist Manga Series) released by Viz Media for overseas. I purchased this book because I am a big fan of Kazue Kato's manga "Blue Exorcist". I have been supporting the series since it debuted in the United States. Reading each story you will see the evolution of Kato's art style from her first work (Boku to Usagi: Me and the Rabbit) to her last included work (The Miyama-Uguisu Mansion Incident) which greatly mirrors her current art style which is used in Blue Exorcist. Also some of the characters she created for these short stories can be viewed as prototypes/inspirations to help create the characters used in Blue Exorcist. If you are a fan of Blue Exorcist, then this is definitely worth picking up and collecting.

Bought this because I liked the art in Blue Exorcist. It has a mini poster in the front of the book featuring the various short stories' characters, with the Table of Contents on its backside. A couple of the pages actually have color. You can see Kato's art evolve a bit, the art of the first stories are drawn more crudely while later stories' art is like that of Blue Exorcist. The story lengths vary, some about 20, while another might only be 5 pages. 10 stories total, one of which was featured in Shonen Jump Weekly. Subjects changes with each story; some are based loosely in the real world while others have clear elements of fantasy. Regardless, each story is enjoyable and some even feel like they are trying to impart a lesson.

This is a collection of the early work of Kazue Kato, the author the popular manga BLUE EXORCIST. You can see the progressive improvement in the art work through time. As well improvements in storylines. Enjoyable retrospective look at the work of Kazue Kato.

It arrived before the date given so that is great. Now for the book, it's self is just amazing. It's a collection of the authors past works, so you are going to read about 10 different stories. After reading this I said to my self these could be quick anime ep or movies. My top stories have to be1 The Miyama-Uguisu Mansion Incident2.Astronerd3.The Rabbit and Me

Amazing quality! I have never received such a high quality printing of a manga before! I also adore the little poster that's inside. I haven't seen those in comics for years! The read is very interesting. I recommend all Kazue Kaito nerds get this book!

The stories and illustrations are amazing, but the condition the book itself was in when it arrived was horrible. Some of the pages were folded, and so was the cover.

I love the author and the series Blue Exorcist. Once I found out they made a book of short stories I just had to get it. 😁

Amazing short story collection! All the stories where really interesting and varied in length to give variety! The manga also included some colour pages which where beautiful! I like the way that although all the stories where written by the same person the art style varied depending on the story! Great add to the collection!
