Perfect Old-Man-Uneven-Ground-Dog-Walking Shoe
Have you ever watched "The Dog House" on MAX? Did you come away without thinking, "Ohhh... that could be our dog!" Correct: impossible. Cannot be done. So by the time we had binged into season #2, we were well on our way to a canine relationship. And when we finished season #4, last episode (#8?), we were on the local humane society websites. And thus, Olive, a Spitz mix. 40 pounds of pure dream for a couple well into their 70s. So now, I am walking a dog. What are the potential problems for an old sod walking a dog on uneven ground in the American south land? Well, you worry about falls, so an old guy needs a shoe that provides a wider base because when he looks down, he needs to have a sense of confidence in his base: that's important because it engages the cortical component of walking. A non-slip sole because the backyard is uneven? Sure. A shoe that is adjustable in the heel, width, and point of attachment to your foot and ankle? You betcha. A quick-release buckle to remove them so that you don't have to mess around with velcro straps, say, while reaching across a comfortable, and comforting, belly? Um hmm. A long-lived shoe because you are on a fixed income and you were taught by your mother that shoes should never wear out, just be outgrown? Yes, yes indeed. A sandal-ish style because, after all, college was only 60 years ago, and you are sure that you can go back to "The Quad" with your nose flute and slide rule, and maybe meet girls who smoke French cigarettes and wear gladiator sandals - girls who would be fascinated by your hiking sandals and your Beat poetry? "Hey, man, I dig your howl." "I shall sing you a folk song and we shall fall in love promptly." Obviously. And that is what the Tevka Omnium 2 Sport Sandal provides: comfort, security, quality, and... and memories. Seventy bucks for memories like those? Well, these are my criteria and those are my memories, kids. Get a pair of these babies and forge the memories that predict the story of your own consciousness. All that from a great pair of shoes.Buy a pair. Have a life. Write your own review.

Great sandal -- addresses previous Teva issues
This is a great sandal. The fit is excellent, the customizability is great. I had quit buying Tevas due to some bad experiences with fit and feel, but I took a chance on these, and they're great. I can't comment on durability yet (which *has* been a problem for me with past Tevas), but so far (3 months), they've held up well. They also look relatively stylish while remaining functional. The thicker sole gives a good combination of support/sturdiness and lightness for a sandal. I'm comfortable wearing these in all kinds of conditions, and they feel good on my foot. I can wear them kayaking, get out of the boat and slog around in the lake, and get back in the boat without feeling burdened by the shoe. I can wear them on the dock and doing light yard work without worrying about traction, but can also wear them on the boat or into the water. They do keep water (a little slow to dry), which means that wearing them wet all day leaves my feet feeling a bit soggy, but I think that's the tradeoff for a comfortable footbed and a sturdy sandal. I have had sandals that dried quicker, but they felt flimsy and didn't last.If there is a sandal "spectrum", these fall somewhere in the middle -- they are heavier than ultralight sandals, which means they're sturdier and have a more comfortable footbed, but don't shed water as well. They are, however, lighter and faster draining than those with a toebox and thicker soles. I find them to be a good compromise among the competing needs of a water sandal - weight, comfort, protection, and flexibility. They fit my needs, so if those match yours, these are a great choice.

Love These and Real Leather
These are great shoes with great arch support. Bought for my husband, his old pair after 20 years (still had great arch support) looked a bit ragged. He uses the old ones for around the house projects and the new ones are great for going out. Perfect for Florida weather and if you have problem feet and need support. Also, great price.

Just a slight tweak and perfect!
Love Teva's! But, out of the box they were awkward to put on - to much elastic at the top of the tongue. So, I cut away the plastic and now they're easy to put on and take off. All the strapping, lacing and elastic was design overkill! Also developed a blister on the inside of the right shoe below the ankle associated with the heel strap. Fixed that with a band aid and a week's wear. The issue went away as the inside of the strap smoothed out. They are true to size, extremely comfortable (with adjustments), supportive and even good-looking! Buy 'em, tweak them and you'll love them!

Love these things, have 2 pairs, they're comfortable and fit high insteps.
I have these in brown and gray, and they're basically all I've worn all summer (well, apart from clothes). I was a little hesitant when I read some reviews that said they chewed up the backs of some people's heels, but I decided to try them anyway. I have had no issues, and they are comfortable for all day and casual walking. BTW, if you have high insteps, like I do, and can no longer wear Keen Newport H2 sandals, fear not. These will fit you because the instep strap snaps and releases.

Very nice shoe for all widths
Very nicely made sandals. I was impressed the material and construction and my only complaint is that my 2E width wasn’t offered. My wide footed friends have no fear. I got my size 13 reg delivered and was happy to see the wide footbed. Just loosened all the adjusters and started wearing them, I was pretty sure the nylon in the uppers would stretch and they have and they even got too loose and had to re adjust the fit. If your gunboats are on the tender side have some moleskin available. Had to pad where at little toe contacted sorting the resizing period and all was well. Also if important the heel was almost as comfortable as Crocks
