The metal grip is nice (if you don't prefer a soft one) with some texture from the matte coating and the grooves to provide a good grip on it. A little thicker than a lot of mechanical pencils, which is also good for comfort. I also like the transition from cylinder to hexagonal cross-section, though that won't please everyone. The twist-to-extend eraser is surprisingly effective, not just because it's much larger than typical mechanical pencils, but it seems to be a better compound than the usual white vinyl. The clip rides high on the pencil, with maybe 2 cm of clearance; this can be useful for uniform requirements, or just a style choice. One note of caution, this ships with a 2B lead. This is a great lead for a dark line, but it will be easier to smear or transfer across pages if you are taking notes on both sides. Overall, a very nice product from Kokuyo.
