I have never vacuum packed anything before so when I bought these I was fairly dubious. Never heard of the brand before, suggested by Amazon, no one I knew had used these but I decided to give it a go (helps when you get a freebie gift voucher so nothing to lose there). Quick and speedy delivery as I would expect from Prime, nicely wrapped etc. When I opened it up there were 5 bags all nicely folded and a hand pump. Again, I'd never done these before so I was quite nervous doing it. I had nothing to worry about. On the bags the instructions were there in very easy and basic English with diagrams as well - very useful if you're someone like me who goes well by BOTH types of instruction. It was very easy to do, you take off the little screw top and slot the pump onto the hole(?) and start pumping. Almost immediately you can tell the air is being sucked out of the bag, and no worries about breaking them because you'll know when all the air's come out. I did have to re-pump one of the bags, but it was my first one and I was worried about OVER pumping it. Again, no worries there, to be expected, pumped it clear again and no problems, have put them away into a Really useful Box and can fit 3 bags in there (including the one with the following item): So far I have used 4 bags and have no spare clothes left to pack away. I even tried packing up a very big and puffy coat with one of my long coats, no worries there either. I did find it didn't shrink the coat that much but it was to be expected considering it's one of those massive boy coats! I haven't tried pillows or duvets yet but I'm sure I'd buy a bigger bag for those. I can't wait to go travelling with these because I can fit so many clothes in these bags, more so than I could fit into two suitcases. I really could have done with these during my university and working abroad years.

Great storage bags, vacuum is maintained long time. No problem to reuse them again, works great.

Great purchase for travelling the spacesavers brand works well and it is the most sturdy brand I have experienced so far! However, still be careful little holes can be made easily.

I have used Vacuum Storage bags in the past with varying success. However I never bought a premium storage bag up until now. My previous experience includes auto inflate after few days and in some cases this happened after few uses. This time I thought of checking a premium bag and see whether it is worth the price. Using a storage bag is not rocket science, but the indicator to maximum fill was a great feature. I was sceptical about the hand pump. I thought it was too much work and was initially thinking about using the vacuum cleaner for sucking out air. To my surprise, it was very easy to use the hand pump; it is definitely easier than dragging my vacuum cleaner and storing it back again. Hard to comment on the durability too much because I have only used for few days. However bags, zipper and the pump look sturdy enough for longer use. Thickness of the bag is best have seen on a storage bag. I bought the medium size bag and that is for storage of clothes in my apartment. I have given 4 stars for travelling because I think medium size is slightly too large for travelling. Overall I am really happy with this purchase.

Great bags, good quality and the seal actually works these are the best I have found so far having tried many over the years, thick strong bags, good zip seal. I would recommend. They also came via Royal Mail, so no issue with delivery

I bought these after some research hoping that the reviews were accurate. I wasn't disappointed! According to my math, right now these vacuum bags provide the best bang for the buck. I have both the medium bags and the jumbo or large ones. I am a tall and fat person and I wasn't mistaking in thinking that the size of the bag has to be proportional to the size of the clothes. My wife and I have just returned from holidays and we are very happy with the extra space that we had in our luggage because of the vacuum bags, the ease of use of the hand pump [you need not bother with the vacuum cleaner] and something that only recently occurred to us - protection! These vacuum bags offer protection against humidity, bugs, intrusion, as is one extra protective layer if the luggage becomes accidentally opened. Trust me it's great to know that your knickers are safely tucked away in between the rest of the clothing and won't come tumbling out! Yeah. I recommend this brand. It's solid stuff! Thanks and bye!

Large, sturdy bags that shrink down well when using a vacuum, but have found a few that fail after a few months.

Brilliant idea for underseat luggage, especially when flying to Lapland. All thise layers sucked up with a handy little pump .
