I'm a total skeptic of any medical claim - I've had some intestinal issues for quite some time and this stuff actually worked. I took 3 pills at about 6pm and then another 3 pills at 10pm. I know I shouldn't have taken that many but I did. Before I even had my coffee the next morning, this stuff started working. It really is much more gentle on your stomach. There was some slight cramping (that's probably because I took 6 damn pills), but it was nothing compared to the harsh laxatives that I've used once or twice. This was very mild and I feel better already. Totally going to keep buying this stuff. Edit: Don't take 6 pills. I've been going almost all day, losing lots of fluid and nutrients. Take as recommended and dose up as you need. I took way too much. Either way, it works!!

I'm giving four stars because I love the brand. This did work, but for the amount of pills one might need to take for it to work, it could become a costly supplement expense. I only took it for a month. Yes it works okay but I found that taking 3 Magnesium Ultra (from vitacost) and 2000 Mgs of vitamin C before bed produce the same, if not better results. Again, I totally back the brand. I may in the future buy a couple bottles of this again to see if the herbs have some sort of healing/reversal effect (meaning, after taking for two months I never need to take again). But for now, if I need to take something everyday, I might as well take something I know my body needs (magnesium and vitamin c). Plus Magnesium Ultra by vitacost is much less expensive and Amazon often carries it. I've tried other magnesium but Magnesiuem Ultra seems to be the safest and most effective. Believe me, I suffered for years before stumbling onto magnesium. It's been a life saver! If you suffer from severe constipation, give magnesium a try. There's also a potent magnesium sold on amazon called Mag-O. That brand is super potent! In addition, most people are magnesium deficient anyway (so I read) and in addition to helping stay regular (like clock work; take at 8pm, ready at 6AM) magnesium is great for: 1. Better sleep - The sleep regulating hormone melatonin is disturbed when Magnesium is deficient. Furthermore, Magnesium brings balance and controls stress hormones. Stress and tension are often reasons why people suffer from insomnia in the first place. 2. Relaxes the nervous system - Serotonin, which relaxes the nervous system and elevates mood, is dependent on Magnesium. 3. Bigger, stronger muscles - Magnesium allows the body to produce more Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF-1), which is a major contributor to the growth and strength of muscles. Furthermore, adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is the cell's energy store, and is created with help from Magnesium. 4. Better flexibility - Magnesium loosens tight muscles. Without Magnesium, muscles do not relax properly and cramps occur. Magnesium is important for flexibility, because low Magnesium results in a buildup of lactic acid, causing pain and tightness. 5. Bone integrity and strength - Magnesium helps to fix calcium properly. It may blow some people's mind that the calcium supplements they're taking are not only useless, but are actually contributing to osteoporosis! There are actually about eighteen essential nutrients that contribute to bone health; Magnesium is definitely one of the most essential, because it stimulates a particular hormone called calcitonin. And, it also suppresses a hormone called parathyroid that breaks down bone. 6.
