Full Review (rant is more like it) I purchased my K1 right after they were released (HUGE mistake), and I've had nothing but problems with it. The print quality is absolute garbage, and the only way that I'm likely to improve it is to tear the entire machine apart to replace the XY carriage. There is horrible "ringing" in the prints when the print carriage moves through a certain section of it's travel (see the pictures). I want to be clear that I am NOT a beginner when it comes to 3D printers. I've outfitted my old Sunhokey Prusa clone with Klipper, adding a proximity sensor to replace the Z-axis stop, replaced the print nozzle cooling solution (such as it was), and many more upgrades (effectively rebuilding the printer several times over). I've tuned that Sunhokey printer to a high degree. My point to all of this is that I'm not a newbie that didn't set their printer up correctly, and failed to run the calibrations to make the printer's quality what it should be...the printer is just bad. At least mine was. Your mileage may vary. I might have been able to look past these issues with print quality, due to the truly impressive print speeds that this machine is capable of. CoreXY machines, like the K1, can be made to print very fast, and the K1 certainly delivers on that front. Had the print quality issues been the ONLY issues, I might have been able to look past it's faults. However, that is not the case. Due to the low print quality (for a machine that was, at the time that I purchased it, the flagship of Creality's lineup), I didn't use the machine much at all, and I went for more than a year without using it a single time. But, recently, I had a need to fire it up to print some large items that I wanted printed quickly. I want to be clear; I only used this machine about 30-ish hours (maybe a bit more, but not much). So, when I started the machine up the other day and found that the hot-end wouldn't hold a steady temperature, I was surprised. When I received the "2507 Error", I knew it was the hot-end and not the bed heater. I did some research and found that the original thermal grease that Creality used would dry out and cause this error, so I purchased some grease. That wasn't the problem. That means, for a machine that has FAR less than 60 hours on it, the heating element and/or thermistor has already died. I now get to spend $40+ to replace the heating element and thermistor (they are a single unit; truly stupid design). I can, of course, upgrade to something better, but I shouldn't have to spend ANY money to fix this. This was, at the time of purchase, Creality's flagship model! If this is what they'll provide as a top-of-the-line machine, imagine what they "provide" for less money. I am well outside of the warrantee period, so I can just eat the loss, but you don't have to. You can chose a different company to do business with. I read the reviews about Creality's lack of quality control, but thought things would be different for me. They weren't. As the title says: Don't do it. ### ⭐ Creality QC fail *by A***N on December 12, 2025* Purchased as the families big Christmas gift, glad I checked it to see if it would work before the big day. I check different wall sockets, different power cords, and even the fuse but could not get it to power up. Packaging was good set up was a breeze, but QC is seriously lacking. Was seriously hyped, but now I find myself scrambling to find a replacement be for the holiday. I’d like to just replace it, but amazons not giving me the option.
