This stone made me worry more...
...because (1) it took so long to ship, and (2) I got upset when I saw how tiny it is. It's basically as big as your thumbprint, with nothing extra to hold on to. I have had bigger worry stones that had a similar indentation section, but they had a border/bezel around it so you had something more to grasp or fit into your hand while you "worry" away at it. This one feels very awkward because of its size, and sadly it causes me to be preoccupied with its size rather than making my worries vanish. The rose quartz is okay for this application, although it sticks to skin a bit too much for my liking. Again, I've seen better materials that don't cling to skin so much. One additional thing to note with the rose quartz is that it conducts heat pretty noticeably. By that, I mean it starts out cool to the touch and will quickly warm up with rubbing friction. I haven't decided if I like it yet, because it does get quite warm. But at the same time it kind of made me chuckle happily because I felt like all my anger and tension were searing into the stone and providing the heat. Since this stone is so small, it might work extremely well as a gift for a child that worries too much. But this might not work for me long term, and I think I might prefer my hard/heavy/smooth tungsten carbide men's ring that I rest on my index finger and roll around with my thumb.

Beautiful, smooth, and effective stress relief - helps me be more productive at work!
Beautiful! This stone is on the small side of most worry stones, but I love it because the depression is the perfect size for my thumb. I'd say if your thumb is a little bigger (I'm a small girl) then you might want something slightly bigger, but for me this is perfect. The best thing about this stone is how smooth it is! One of the things that bothered me about one of my previous worry stones is that it had rough patches, which can be distracting if you really need to calm yourself. I just got my first job out of college as a spacecraft software engineer, and I get really nervous and fidgety when I have to give a presentation or discuss urgent design details with a group, especially when receiving constructive criticism from experienced coworkers. Keeping one of these in my pocket when I talk keeps me from getting nervous or feeling pressured, and lets me learn from the experience instead of getting distracted by how incompetent I feel - its like all the stress gets rubbed away. Simple and effective, and the stone's size means that I can use it discretely. Thanks!

Pretty Good!
I purchased two of these stones on separate occasions. While they are both quite nice, they are also rather different from each other. One looks like your traditional worry stone and greatly resembles the one in the picture. It has the indent for the thumb is a rather rosy color. However, the other one is more of a paler pink, resembling white more, and is probably 50% bigger. It serves the same purpose -its still smooth- but there's not the same thumb indent. It's more of a flat shape with a minuscule edge. They are currently misplaced but when I find them, I can take pictures.

This was not the quality I was looking for.
This stone was okay but I have/had better ones. This was not the quality I was looking for. It's hard to explain whats wrong with it but I will try. The feel of it is wrong. It's not as smooth around the edges as I would like (I feel it should have been buffed out more around the edges so the rim is not so sharp feeling). There are a few tiny dings or nicks in the rock that are not buffed out and moving the thumb over those does not feel good and is distracting. There is a crack through the rock that my thumb also notices each time its moved over it (my thumb nail sometimes gets caught up on it). It seems that if I was to try to snap it in half I could, although I wont for obvious reasons.I understand that each stone is different but the one that I received had a few too many flaws. It feels a bit amateurish.

Useful for calming
The stone is nice and smooth, and fits nicely in the hand. It's a nice size and quality. Mine is quite clear, and I was expecting a rosier colour, but as this is a natural stone the colours aren't going to be the same. I'm not picky about my gemstones, so this is still perfect for me. I personally use the stone to calm myself from anxiety attacks and episodes caused by OCD, BPD, and Asperger's. It works well as a stimulative object for autism, as it has a very smooth texture that can be rubbed over and over again without harming the skin. Overall, it's a nice buy, and I recommend it. Don't expect to get a bright pink stone, though.

Good for battling nervous habits
I have a nervous habit where I pick and bite at the skin around my fingernails (dermatillomania). Trying to stop with nothing but sheer willpower didn't sound like a good plan. This gives me something to redirect that nervous energy to, and it's been helpful so far. It's small and discreet unlike a stress ball. Fits right in my pocket or purse. The muted color does not attract attention to itself, and the shape and size are just right for rubbing with my thumbs (my favorite target for biting). This seller has the best price too, and they shipped it with enough bubble wrap to keep it from getting chipped or cracked in the mail. It's real stone and not some manufactured imitation. I've already had some success with using it instead of picking. I hope with time I can stop completely!

Just right!
I love this little stone. It's small -- just the right size for my thumb to fit. I bought it because I am one of those people who stands in front of the mirror and picks at every little blemish so I thought a worry stone might help. It does, as long as I keep it handy and force myself to pick it up. I find myself carrying it around and holding it while I'm watching TV or talking on the phone or whatever. It's just a nice tactile sensation and has been helpful for me!

Did the trick
My mom used to have worry stones in her purse. I got this to help me stop biting my lip and fingernails when I'm bored or nervous. It worked like a charm...I keep it in my pocket.I've had other worry stones that were odd shaped and they gave my hand a cramp, or left a divot in my palm. This one is a perfect oval with a thumb rub. That's just what I need.I think I need to get one for the other hand now!
