Blades will rust if not dried immediately, can't put in dishwasher
I thought I'd get an inexpensive set of kitchen shears and, well, I got what I paid for. I should've known when the instructions these came with said not to put them in the dishwasher and to dry them immediately after washing them. The blades on these rust if you don't follow the directions. I know the manufacturer claims that high carbon steel blades stay sharper longer (and it's not even noticeable to me if they do stay sharper), but I now know I really just need blades that I can thrown in the dishwasher and count on not to rust. Also, I have a habit of placing whatever I want to cut all the way to the inside edges of the scissors (inside the V the scissors make) and there's no cutting surface there so they don't cut. Totally frustrating. I've just thrown these in my junk drawer and got a pair of Fiskars kitchen shears, which are amazing. Should've just spent the $25 on those first instead of wasting my money on these.

REALLY NICE SCISSORS - BUT ......(SEE UPDATE)
These scissors are nice. They are comfortable and appear to be well made. They come apart easily, yet has a nice tight "fit" when being used. I just needed a good pair of kitchen shears that would come apart for easy cleaning. I decided on this one becauise of all the good reviews. OK ... so add mine to them.UPDATE 09/17/13 We have been using these kitchen shears for several weeks now and there is one feature that is really annoying. There is a "notch" in one of the blades near where the two blades join together. It is supposed to be used for cutting small bones, or whatever. I am used to placing anything I cut near the base of the blade opening and this notch prevents the scissors from actually cutting. Say you want to open a bag of chips, you open the scissors and try to start cutting, but the notch is there and it doesn't cut the bag, it kind of crumples it. Now you need to close the scissors so that notch area is not used and now you have shortened the cutting length of the blade by about a third. I am going to keep these, as they do cut well, but I have ordered another scissors that has no notch in the blade. I am thinking that these were a bit over designed to try to do everything and these many functions get in each other's way. I dropped my review by one star, down to four.

This seems to be a great pair of scissors so far
This seems to be a great pair of scissors so far. I have used them just about every day on a variety of materials and they seem to perform as well as advertised. I can see how some other reviewers may find the notch towards the inside of the scissor annoying as you can't tuck material back there to begin cutting as you may be accustomed with other traditional scissors but a simple adjustment in the starting point resolves this easily. I also found that where you may need to tuck material further back with other scissors to gain more leverage, with these you don't seem to have to do so. This could be due to the extremely sharp blades or the ergonomics but they do just fine even on more difficult material. I would recommend these.

Overall good, but notch in blade makes long cuts difficult, and extra tools may be unnecessary
Pros:- Sharp- Good quality blade- Sturdy- Easy to disassemble and cleanCons:- Notch on one blade makes long cuts difficult. If you make very short cuts with the scissors they work just fine, but if you try to do a longer cut of e.g. paper or a package, it will often get stuck in the gap and not cut properly.- "Sliding" long cuts where e.g. paper is slid along without a closing/opening motion also doesn't work well due to the notch.- Tools on back end of the scissors somewhat pointy, could be minor safety hazard (haven't cut myself yet though).Overall, these scissors work pretty well, but the extra features and blade curve cause more trouble for me than they are worth.

The notch can be a deal breaker
Although these serve their purpose as an extra pair of shears in the kitchen, I've dropped a star for each thing I don't like about them. The main issue for me is the notch that makes it difficult to use all but a short part of the blade. I also don't like the rust like spots that form and aren't removable if a bit of liquid is left on them. I don't have a problem with them falling apart because in order to use them for cutting they can't be opened that far.

Lovely Kitchen Shears
These are my new favorite kitchen tool. The very best feature (why I bought these and threw my old ones in a junk drawer) is how they come apart for ease of cleaning. Bottle opener works well and I've even used the little pry bar tip on the handle to pry open a little rusted toolbox and they handled it without an issue. If you have a kitchen then you want these in it.

Great for camping and fishing
I bought these for a recent trip to the Caribbean so I could use them to gut and scale fish. They worked great that purpose, but then I discovered that they also made an AWESOME tool for getting the juice and meat out of a coconut. They're really sturdy (much better than any of the knives in the house I rented) and when you take them apart the tip of one blade is perfect for drilling into the "eyes." Now they're sitting in my tool kit, just waiting for another adventure ;) These are a bargain at less than $15. I would buy another pair, but I don't think I'll need to for a long time.

Hurt my hands
These scissors hurt my hand when I use them and are difficult to cut with. Also they tend to fall part while using them which is annoying

Overall, great scissors
All worked well except for the jar opening function. My old scissors worked better. Tried them on medium size jar lids without success. On small lids, they worked okay.

Best pair of scissor I ever bought and I hope ...
Best pair of scissor I ever bought and I hope so for 16$! High quality feel to it. The vegetable peeler function is a joke.
