Ratatouille/Pixar Shorts [DVD]

I love PIXAR films, I have seen all of them at the cinemas and they always amaze me. I saw Ratatouille when it came out in cinemas I thoaght it was a brillient film and I could not wait to get it on Blu-ray. Then I saw it was with the PIXAR shorts and I thought for that price it works out cheaper than buying both seperatly. So I can't wait till it comes out and if you are a PIXAR fan and own a Blu-ray player this is a must have for you.5 STARS

Disney / Pixar are back to what they do best with this creation, the characters are protrayed beautifully with great expressions and storyline.The Pixar shorts disc is a great extra for any fan who doesn't want to buy all the films to get the shorts at the beginning, my favuourite is the Birds which was the featurette before Monster's Inc originally... but the snowman is cool too....You won't be disappointed...

Both discs are first class, but had I bought the Pixar Shorts on its own for £17, or combined with Ratatouille for the normal street price of about £22, I'd have been pretty disappointed. Only when Amazon reduced the box set to £14 did it seem worthwhile.Note that many of the Pixar Shorts are in less than full hi-def so a DVD version may suffice, especially if you already have lots of Pixar discs as you will already have some of the more recent shorts as extras.

I ordered this item expecting it to arrive as 2 discs in a single box. Well it's not: it's the normal 2 Blu-Ray releases in a slipcase and that saves quite a bit of money on buying each separately. The films are superb. Ratatouille is all it's hyped to be and the Pixar shorts are equally marvellous. It's a joy to see the latter in HD after so many years of poor quality video and then mediocre DVD. This is a VERY good release.

this is what we have come to expect from Pixar - good, honest entertainment with a good story line and excellent graphics. The characterisations are totally believable and the voices match them perfectly.The bonus in this set is to see how Pixar started with simple graphics and then developed the process into what we see today - a testament to their ingenuity and refusal to accept anything that could be better.

As always, disney doesn't let me down!! Saw the trailer for this film on another Disney DVD and my little boy looked fascinated so I bought him ratatouille as a surprise and he loves it! Funny story too!

A funny and enjoyable cartoon that has lots of jokes for adults that fly way above the kids heads. Something for everyone here and a terrific story. Good fun and excellent production values.

It comes in a lovely case. great for a present.

If you're Canadian, American, or from anywhere except the U.K., don't buy this particular copy of Ratatouille. Stupid region codes...
