By the time I get the handle on tight enough so it doesn't dislodge during use the top part of the brick had many bits chipped off. Pushing down on the handle mostly dislodged the handle breaking bird of brick. I have a large flattop griddle. The brick was excellent at cleaning off the surface, especially the tough corners. I had better luck donning gloves and holding the brick by hand to use on my griddle.
