After receiving the complete Harry Potter book series as a gift, I immediately planned to begin reading them, but knew I didn't want to ruin the pages by dog-earring them. I've used traditional bookmarks before, but I've also had them slide out of the books and that's a bit frustrating if you don't remember where in the story you were.I love that this bookmark hangs over the spine of the book, allowing the little charm to dangle off. The design is detailed and super cute and not large enough to be too annoying. The metal portion itself that goes in the book sits against the pages and allows me to easily return to where I was and doesn't cause any damage to the spine or the pages themselves.The book has a bit of a gap when glancing at it from the top of the pages if the book is closed, which doesn't really bother me at all, but may bother some people. All in all, this is a great bookmark for any Harry Potter fans and works perfectly for marking your place in your favorite Harry Potter book or any book in general.
