This is perfect for young child or child of special needs. Enough for them to feel like their peers to have a phone but nothing on it to put them in danger. Love that she can reach me at anytime as well as I can track her at anytime. Battery lasts 6:15am till 3:30pm. It also has girly accessories as well as screen covers you can buy on Amazon which make the watch better. It's easy to use and easy to set up. Best buy this year!

I did quite a bit of research on the best kids watches for my daughter. I picked this one in particular because (1) I can control who is a contact on my daughter’s watch (I added the contacts myself through the App on my phone), (2) it lets my daughter text, call and send me pictures of the places she is at, (3) I can track her GPS location from the App on my phone, and also it is water resistant. I purchased a protective case for the screen.

I'm really pleased with the Bark Watch. It's very easy to use, and I appreciate the built-in safety features - no internet or social media access, the ability to track location, and control over contacts. The texting feature can be a bit tricky due to the tiny keyboard, but my son works around it by sending audio messages instead. The included watch band isn't the most durable- it broke fairly quickly - but we were able to find stronger replacement bands at a low cost. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it for kids in mid-to-late elementary school.

Great concept poor execution. The idea behind this watch is exactly what I wanted for our kids. Not quite ready for a phone but to have the ability to text and call. We bought 3 for our kids, ages 8,9,10. The good - the app was super easy to use. Setting up the watch was simple. Text monitoring and scheduling downtime were really cool. The bad - battery life, battery life, battery life. Wow is the battery terrible. Would barely last a school day. Keep in my mind the watch has no games or Internet for the kid to use and drain the battery. Screen was ok, but the swiping motions didn't react very well. More often than not when they would swipe left to get to messages the watch reacted like it swiped down to access settings. Keyboard was ok, but buttons are tiny and difficult to use if you're a grown up. Kids seemed to do ok. Location monitoring was ok, but would get multiple alerts kids were at a location when they hadn't left for hours. It was like the cell service would hit a different tower and send an alert.
