Quiet, powerful, easy to start, and I avoid having to mess with gasoline.
For 25 years, I have used a gas generator for back-up power but it was noisy and messing with gas can be unpleasant. Gas has to be stored and it tends to get on things. The Gidrox tri fuel generator is amazing. Setup involved connecting the battery cable to the engine cable and putting oil in the engine. A convenient funnel came in the box. I then connected a propane tank to the generator using the snap on hose that came in the box and pressed the remote start key and the generator fired up. It was quiet and I had no gas mess to deal with. I plan to connect the generator to my natural gas line so I will have unlimited fuel with no mess. The price for 11,000 watts of starting power is very reasonable (8910 with natural gas). I will be able to power most of my house with it. It also comes ready for use with an automatic transfer switch. I am impressed.

A Great and Powerful Whole house generator!
The media could not be loaded. I bought this unit to use as a whole house generator as I have natural gas service. This is an awesome and powerful generator and I love that it’s quiet, an inverter, and tri fuel. It can run on natural gas, propane, or gasoline. The wheels are actually rubber and the generator is a really solid unit. It has electric start, remote start, and a pull cord ( the pull cord is behind the panel as it’s not really needed with the electric start). It also comes with a cover, propane regulator, oil, natural gas hose, and plugs. I have about 29 hours on the unit so far and am having an electrician install a 50amp interlock on my panel so I can use this to power the WHOLE house. If you’re considering this, BUY IT! I’m super happy with it and recommend it! I watched some great reviews of it on YouTube as well!

Fairly quiet small generator with electric start
2500W Portable Inverter Generator (2500W - Co Sensor + Easy Start)More than enough power to keep a fridge and freezer running during a power outage. This unit is reasonably quiet - but you can't avoid some noise. In "eco" mode, the motor runs a little quieter, depending upon load.In my current house, I've had 3 severe power outages over the past 10 years. The last one, I was without power for 5 days. I kept my fridge running by periodically powering it with an inverter off my car. That worked, but I had to start/stop my car every hour or so - and wake up at night also. Too much. I got this to keep my fridge and garage freezer running when the next outage hits. This generator is small enough to pack away and pull out if needed. It's "luggable" - not light, but it's not too difficult to carry.I have to knock this a star for the instructions. This unit comes with a battery-powered automatic start. However, the internal battery is disconnected. The "quick start guide" makes no mention of this, and just says to hit the starter button, or pull the cord for the manual option. I wasn't really sure if there was actually an automatic start on my model. But I found the info on page 14 of the user's manual. You have to unscrew/remove the cover, and connect a lead to a screw terminal. Instructions also indicate that the battery can be damaged if the generator isn't run for more than 3 months. You'll need to buy some oil. There are several options, for different temp ranges, in the manual. I used synthetic 5w30. There's a low-oil sensor which will prevent you from starting/running the generator with insufficient oil.I also pulled the spark plug. This was a little more challenging than it should have been. There's a very small access panel on the top, too small to fit your hand in. I found it difficult to remove the spark plug cable with the small access.

Nice generator!
This little portable inverter generator from Gridox is quite a little gem! Personally, I'm used to larger generators that need to be wheeled around, so I was pleasantly surprised when opening this up to see the size and weight of the unit. It's a little larger than a 5 gallon gas container, and fully loaded weighs about 50-60 pounds. It's easy enough to carry a distance if you had to.The unit does not come with oil, so I purchased some 10W-30 lawnmower oil from my local hardware store. The generator took all 20 ounces without a problem, although I feel like it could use more. The dipstick line was over the halfway mark, but not quite to the full mark. After adding some gas (it hold somewhere between a half-1 gallon based on what I was able to pump into it), I followed the start up sequence and it started right up and started purring like a kitten. The manual starting rope and coil is very easy to pull to get it started. This generator is very quiet. Standing next to it in ECO mode, it sounds like a push lawnmower in the distance. Taking it out of ECO mode, it does make a bit more noise. Same when increasing the power load. The electronic start has been kind of hit and miss for me. If I don't touch the unit for some time and start it anew and cold, it fires up without a problem. If I turn the generator off and try to start it warm, it has issues. I'm not sure if it's something I'm doing wrong, but I could not find anything in the instruction manual as to why it might be doing that. The unit has a different running wattage than what is in the product description. The 2500 Watts is for peak power and the running wattage is much lower, about 1900 Watts. I was able to connect a few devices to test the load. If you are thinking about using a power saw with this unit, you are going to overload it. I had no trouble with smaller appliances like lights, or even a TV set. I do plan on using this for offsite work away from power sources to operate an angle grinder, jig saw, and other medium powered tools. The generator has no problem with running these devices, topping out at about 50% of its load capability with one of them running at a time.I also like that there are USB connections as well as the standard AC outlets. There are a few other safety features on the unit like a CO detector as well as a low oil light/cutoff. There was mention of a remote start, but my unit did not come with a remote or the ability to start with one. I'm assuming it's an add-on feature, but the unit is so easy to start manually and when it does want to start electrically. The remote feature would be handy if you needed to start it from inside a building or camper, or from a farther distance.Overall, this is a nice little generator for campsites/rv, light to medium jobsite work. I know it will come in handy on my property as I have 6 acres and no access to power in some of the more remote areas of the property. Great little investment!
