This unit needs an online manual for detailed instructions. Microsoft Duplex media player will play back files manually
Needs a serious long online manual that gets updated daily.Final update: It is impossible to get a consistent method to retrieve video files VIA WIFI and the app. It wants you to use the cloud which is only free for 30 days. Bottom line is you cannot reliably view video files away from home. Evidently when it records you have no way to see that it is actually recording in the app unless you manually hit the record button. If you close the app the record stops. Another $10 would fix these issues at the factory.update20: Formatted the card to exfat and it functions 100% better. The internal camera formats the card to fat32. Retesting with the exfat formatted card.Microsoft Duplex media player will play back files manually from the SD card in your computer. However no way to remotely access these files VIA WIFI. I am using a LAN and wifi connection with the unit plugged into the router.Lowered stars for failure to display in recording mode without an app open and in constant contact.Update: pulled the card out of the unit and the videos appear to be there but I cannot open the H264 format to view them. App will not display or play any videos.Monitor stays on but it does not record when the app is closed and the videos are not saved when the app is closed. Do not see any settings for saving a recording.Will update in two weeks.

Set the views on the reviews to MOST RECENT and you’ll see people talk about the terrible connection and customer service. Which is so exactly true. Before I even got the item I received a email from the seller telling me I can contact them with any questions but the email was one I couldn’t respond to and there was nothing in the email for me to use to contact them. Their email didn’t make any sense and the same goes for their manual when I got the package. Firstly, the wires provided were so short. It has to be connected to a router and a outlet and with the wires being so short I had no choice but to place it in a area closer to the floor which defeats the purpose of being able to see the room. Secondly it would not connect. I was sitting right next to it for 20 minutes for my phone to pick it up and it never connected. Even if I had to buy longer wires I would have been okay with that because I got it for a good price but to have no customer service, no one to answer my questions, and a terrible setup/connection it’s just totally not worth it. I’m not tech savvy but I do try to figure things out before I totally give up and I’m not going to frustrate myself over this thing that is totally not worth it. Please don’t waste your time buying. I was hoping that after the other bad reviews that by the time I ordered this they’d update/fix any issues but nope

Cannot be used with wifo routers higher than 2.4ghz
It took me a while to set this up to get it running. We own a few wifi cctv cameras like samsung and dericam and I can set those up in a few minutes even without the manual, but this one took me a few days trying to find out what I did wrong. I found out that these cameras do not connect to 5ghz wifi routers, it wouldn't take the password from my router. I plugged-in an old 2.4ghz wifi router to our new 5ghz router and it took only a minute to connect. I wonder why the manufacturer of this camera don't put a big WARNING! to connect only to a 2.4ghz wifi routers. Or they can make a revision on thier app so the new routers can communicate with this product because most of the new wifi routers that come out these days are not 2.4ghz anymore

Great video quality
I'm a junkie when it comes to these type of cameras and this one, as of now, is my favorite. I own 7 different brands of these type cameras and each has its own strength but if you are looking for great video quality and affordable cloud storage this is the one. I use these for home security and I'm slowly replacing all of them with this brand ( it is sold by many different companies) I love the video quality and I like the clarity of the 2 way communication. The downside is the danale app that you have to use to access the camera. Other apps give you so many more options that danale doesn't. Alot of companies that sell this camera will tell you it's compatible with Amazon Alexa, this is true, however you really can't do much with Alexa other than turn it on and PTZ. Despite all that it's a great camera and I will be buying more.

It does not work on WiFi
It will not work on WiFi. The app it tells you to use on your phone is called Danale. Before you buy this, look at the reviews for that app in the google play store. Nobody can get it to work on WiFi. I sent it back.

Easy to use WiFi Camera
We bought this camera to monitor our cat while we were on a short trip last week. Setup was easy, if you want to record anything, make sure you have or purchase a microSD card. As described, it has two-way audio and night vision and he quality of the video is quite clear. The motion detection is quite sensitive and if you have it on you may end up with tons of messages. Overall, I am satisfied with the cost of the money. Wish the motion detection can be received without cloud signup (free 1st 30 days and you will have to pay afterward).

Starting Smoking!!
I purchased two of these. Not even 6 months after setting them up one starting to click. Not long after that, it started humming. It was warm to the touch and wouldn't connect regularly. Shortly after this, the unit started smoking. I instantly unplugged it and threw it away. A few weeks after the first one died the second starting clicking then humming. I didn't wait for it to start smoking - I just threw it away as well. I would NOT recommend this product to anyone.

Do not purchase unless you LIKE to rage!
UPDATE: 3 months in and it has completely stopped working altogether. Don’t waste your money!Great picture, quick set up, easily mobile...but, it constantly loses signal...I mean CONSTANTLY! I use this for daycare, so it needs to be reliable. Also, not a good option for a baby monitor. Unless you want them woken up constantly because every time it reconnects (and it’s CONSTANTLY), you get a “successful connection” message...LOUDLY! And there’s is no way to turn it off or even down! I’d send it back, but it’s not worth the hassle. Complete waste of money!!!!
