Volcanic Girls Hardcover – August 15, 2014

A glorious, beautiful book of glorified beauty. These words should be all you need to know about how great this book is, but for you people that need to know what you are getting yourselves into, you are in for a treat. This wonderful book is full of beautiful nude or near nude women in gorgeous environments, all tasteful done. Gentlemen like myself would be proud to show people this book when coming over to visit. A shame that I foolishly missed on the first print of this book, thinking it wouldn't disappear, but it did. I'm most grateful that the publisher saw how great this book was and reprinted it for people like myself that would appreciate Stefan Soell's fine eye for beauty. Give this book now and I promise you will not be disappointed.

This is the 1st book of Stefan Soell that I've gotten, and it was worth it. Excellent pictures and even better models.

Absolutely Brilliant Art

superb photograghy, gorgeous woman, breathtaking locations and backgrounds.

I spend a considerable amount of time viewing artistic nude, nude, fashion, and erotic photography for professional purposes. Initially this line or work seems to be a dream job for any connoisseur of the female form, but eventually repetition has the potential to dull the senses to even one of the best of pleasures that life can offer. Fortunately that is not the case here.A few years ago I stumbled upon Stefan's work and have since put in into the literal handful of photographers' work who I study, dissect, and most importantly simply enjoy viewing. Here is why Volcanic Girls is a wise investment:1.) Mr. Soell's work is indeed an investment. If you view the other titles released by Stefan on Amazon you will see their price has indeed increased, sometimes dramatically, since their publish date.2.) More than just a loose collection of photos, this book is travel adventure. I was not familiar with the island location of Lanzarote before viewing this book. Of course after finishing my first sitting with the book, I immediately sought out some images online for Lanzarote to learn more about this beautiful location unknown to me.3.) The girls are natural, happy, and genuinely enjoy making these photos. You can see from the girls expressions and body language that they truly feel the freedom and relaxation that such a beautiful location provides. Even with the best green screens and retouch technicians, you couldn't recreate these photos and the emotions they exude in any studio.4.) Limited use of make-up and retouching. Upon close examination it does appear that possibly some minor post production work has been applied to these works, but if so it has been done tastefully. It is definitely not something you notice when casually, or even somewhat analytically, viewing each photo. If anything it's just simple improvements that were made.5.) Cohesive style. Some photographers try too hard to put their own stamp on their work. The value of artistic branding is not be be understated, but the most important part of the photograph is that which is photographed. Yes, when you see a photograph of Stefan's you know it is Stefan's, but not because of some fancy trick or technique. The photos are presented in a pleasing, straight-forward manner with the emphasis on the beauty of the young woman and the natural environment / landscape.6.) Model selection. If you've seen Stefan's work online you probably know that not only does he shoot some of the top young women working today, but some of these girls work exclusively with him. This indicates Mr. Soell's eye for scouting beauty, ability to build trust with the model, and her satisfaction with his work.7.) Conversation starter. Some books you pick up once, enjoy, and then file away for later with later sometimes never arriving. With a book like this you may want to consider one new, unopened copy for such purposes, but for the best enjoyment I would recommend displaying these works on a coffee table or area in your home where guests are sure to notice. In some cultures the human form can be a polarizing topic of discussion. The nice thing about Volcanic Girls is that even the photos that are quite straight-forward are very tastefully done so those who lean towards the more conservative side will find enjoyment as well as those who are more liberal with such matters. After just a few pages the topic of conversation can easily drift towards a number of subjects such as art, women, travel, photography, lighting, relationships, investments, and morality with the options being too many to list here, but ultimately guests engaging other guests is good for the guests and reflects well upon the host.As someone who collects various forms of art and appreciates the female form I can't recommend enough purchasing this, or one of Mr. Soell's other works as we are still in the relatively early stages of his career. As a young boy I collected sports cards, and like art, rookie cards or first releases early in the athletes or artists career nearly always hold the most value for collectors.Bottom line: Buy this book. You're using Amazon so if you do have any second thoughts you can always consider returning it, but I can confidently say that after one sitting with these works your thoughts will only direct towards positive feelings reaffirming a wise, and possibly lucrative, decision. A great presentation from one of the best working photographers today.
