Q: Is this the "relax fit" style (not tapered)?

Yes but the size is is off, I need 2 sizes bigger then what I typically wear (normally wear a M but needed an XL otherwise it was too tight on my waist).

UA standard baseball pant, straight leg

Q: What size would I get for my 6'4", 170 lbs son?

Not sure any of the pants would fit a 6’ 4” height. But as far as waist if I was to order again I would go up 2 sizes from what I normally order.
