Electric Kettle with Temp Control
I’m in love! Where has this kettle been all my life? I used to use a kettle on the stove for heating water for tea. This electric kettle heats water in a flash! The variable temp control already has me spoiled! The default setting heats to a temp suitable for Ramen Noodle soups, while the lower temps are better for delicate teas. Ready beep is loud enough for me to hear anywhere in the house. Easy the read controls. Handle and balance are ergonomically comfortable on hand and wrist. Attractive design and takes up so little space on the counter. Great value for the price! So happy I decided to go with this model!

If you want perfect temperature for tea or coffee, this is what you need.
I heard about this kettle on a Facebook group with high remarks from British, Canadians, and Americans. This kettle is easy to clean, boils up water quick, and the temperature settings for different needs takes the guesswork out of brewing a perfect cuppa tea. The infuser is easy to use, or not, as it is easily removable. My husband used it this morning and raved over how quickly it comes to a boil. Five-plus stars for this kitchen appliance, which is getting more frequent use than the stovetop kettle.

Stylish, Lightweight, and So Easy to Use!
This electric kettle is just plain cool! At first, I was a little surprised by how lightweight it was because I’m used to a much heavier kettle, but once I started using it, I realized the lightweight design is actually one of my favorite features. It makes lifting and pouring incredibly easy, even when the kettle is completely full. The color-changing LED lights around the bottom are such a fun feature. At a glance, you can tell what temperature you’re heating the water to based on the color displayed, which makes the kettle both practical and really attractive on the counter. It pours smoothly and easily, and the lightweight construction makes it comfortable to handle. The base is also lightweight but does exactly what it needs to do. I like that the cord can wrap around the bottom for storage. The plug does still stick out a bit when the cord is wrapped, but that’s a very minor issue and certainly not enough to bother me. Another feature I really like is the included tea insert. You can actually make your tea right in the kettle, which is a great little bonus and eliminates the need for another pot or infuser. The controls couldn’t be easier. There’s an on button and a separate heating button that lets you cycle through the temperature selections. The kettle also comes with detailed cleaning instructions, and I followed the recommendation to do a vinegar cleaning before the first use. It’s easy to operate, heats quickly, pours beautifully, looks great, and has some really fun features that make it stand out from a basic electric kettle. I’m very happy with this purchase and really enjoying it!

Works Well and Heats Up Quickly
This is a good electric kettle and does exactly what I needed it to do. It heats the water quickly, is easy to use, and I like having the temperature controls instead of only one setting. It feels sturdy, looks nice sitting on the counter, and so far has worked really well. I’m happy with it and would recommend it.

Decent inexpensive kettle
I got this kettle to replace a much more expensive one that kept failing. I wanted on with the electronics in the kettle itself so that sensors etc. would not be affected by corrosion of the contacts on the bottom of the kettle to the base. I will have to say this kettle feels pretty cheap. As others have commented the infuser is held in by three little tabs and I'm sure they will break off in the future since they are subject to the stress of holding the infuser and the thermal stress in the kettle. Upon unboxing the instructions said to run a MAX load of water through the kettle for a complete boiling cycle. I did this and it worked perfectly. Now it was time for some tea. I have been bringing my tea to a boil and let this kettle run it's default cycle which is to boil and stop as soon as it reaches boiling. It foamed up and spilled a good deal of tea all over the counter. I was making several batches (I make up 4 gallon jugs each week) so I reduced the amount of water in the next one to prevent boil over. No such luck, although it did spill less tea. Third batch I'm down to 1/2 and the infuser is mostly above the water. Still boiled over. The last batch I'm getting close to the minimum level and it STILL boiled over. So for this weeks batch I decided to run the next lower cycle, which is to get it to 200 degrees F and shut down. This worked and I will continue to use it this way as I can put more water in it to further saturate the infuser. Plus: It heats fairly quickly. The controls are intuitive to use, and the ring of LEDs under the base of the glass pot change color to confirm your selection of heat cycle. The opening is large enough to easily get my large hands inside for cleaning. The only contacts in the bottom of the kettle to the base are for 110 volt connections. Minus: The kettle feels like it's price, kind of cheaply made. The base is so light I expect it to lift with the kettle. And I have mentioned the infuser. I don't know why it boiled over with the tea inside. I don't live at a high altitude, 900 feet, so that shouldn't be the cause. But if you can live with a 200 degree F cycle or lower this kettle should do the job and that's all I can ask of any appliance especially these days.

Works great, makes great tea, good coffee, and doesn't cost much
Being a person who sometimes drinks a lot of tea and coffee, now for instance, I have become frustrated with Keurig systems. For one thing, I think the whole concept is a rip off. They put a little bit of coffee grounds or ground tea in a little plastic cup and let it dry out and sit in warehouses for a long time and then in cardboard boxes in box stores and then finally sell it to a customer who lets it set in the cupboard for a few weeks and finally puts it in the machine and gets the machine to ooze some hot water through it. From a plastic tank attached to the machine that holds the water for some indeterminate amount of time possibly growing who knows what in it or the filter. Finally this coffee rinse of the stuff in the plastic cup is what you drink and it is probably around $1.00 a cup. But if one dumps enough creamers and sweeteners in it is can be drunk. I tried a tea pot on the stove. I went back to the percolator coffee pot as of old. I used a coffee grinder and experimented with different grinds of various roasted beans, and I ordered a bunch of different loose leaf tea. (Did you know that tea all comes from the same plant Camellia Sinensis? All the differences between white, green, black and others is in the planting, harvesting, processing, soil, and climate.) It is too be remembered that people got on ships and pulled up along side each other and blasted away with cannons over this stuff. Fortunes were built and lost, borders of countries changed, and great meetings that took months went on over cargos of this stuff. Now in most grocery stores you can't even find loose tea. Tea is in little bags, made out of who knows what, tied with stings of who knows what, containing what is tea treated who knows how, that you dip in hot water and if you are British (well what used to be Brits, I don't know if the Muslims even drink tea) you are supposed to be refreshed. So, to cut to the chase, I bought this handy thing that makes both tea and coffee with a minimum of fuss. One puts ground coffee (I use freshly ground beans, but coffee out of a can will do) in the screen thing that hangs in the pot, fill the pot to the line with water, and set it on the heating pad and click the little button on the handle to 200 degrees and walk away. It will heat to 200 degrees and then turn off. The coffee steeps in the hot water and I have depending on the size of the pot about a liter and a half of coffee. This is a fraction of the price one pays for Keurig coffee. It is fresh water made with fresh beans and it is pretty good. There are four settings on the handle. To make tea one has a choice of four temperatures. One just puts loose leaf tea in the sieve thing that hands in the pot, clicks the setting and walks away. One usually lets it steep for a few minutes depending on the temperature chosen and the type of tea. One usually lets it steep for a few minutes depending on the temperature chosen and the type of tea. In all of this, the manipulation time is very low. The pot is easy to clean and the sieve dumps out and one has a clean system to make the tea and/or coffee. Oils and other residue on the beverage apparatus really do affect the taste. I ordered the 1.8 liter pot. I have an old thermos where I pour the extra after I take my cupful for later. Since one is not really paying much for more for the ground coffee or loose leaf tea, it is okay to just pour the extra down the drain. One thing about loose leaf tea especially green tea, one can just refill the pot and make another pot of tea and use the same tea leaves still in the diffuser. It really turns out about the same. I like gun powder tea which is a green tea that looks like—you guessed it, gun powder. I also like the Ahmad black English Breakfast. I like to use a little bit of raw (unpasteurized) unfiltered honey and a little cinnamon in my coffee and tea. Usually skipping the cinnamon about half the time. And don't forget the price. This magical device is about $29.

Do you want hot water, or build quality? - because you probably aren't getting both
The question is really this - do you want hot water, or build quality? - because you probably aren't getting both under $30. This kettle performs its essential function- the water boils, and tea was added - hey, look...hot tea. BUT you do need to make lots of steam to obscure the other, less than ideal things. To start, the base feels very cheap - I am concerned about its longevity and the button panel on the handle was also peeling and I had to "stick" it back down - and this is before I used it. Later, I noticed the handle for the lid is a little bent (thing material) and the entire thing feels like its made from plastic too thin for the job - except of course for the glass, which seems fine. Cheap build also leads to other problems though - primarily that you cannot remove the tea strainer from the lid after its hot - not unless you have an oven mitt or are otherwise impervious to scalding (I am not...so....). The instructions specifically advise removing the strainer (probably so tea doesn't steep too long) but since the only way to remove the strainer is to grab it and twist it off.....your going to get burned. A better build would have included some sort of mechanical disconnect or a button, but this unit just has little plastic feet and the strainer friction-fits into those little feet - so there is no good way to get a hot (boiling, specifically) strainer off - your best bet is to remove the lid, run the strainer under cold water - remove it, then replace the lid. I cannot comment on longevity - but it did boil, and shut off. SO.....four stars despite the issues? YES.....because it was $30 - you can't buy anything for $30. You could skip your local coffee stand 5 times and pay for this - even if it lasts 6 months, that's a heck of a deal.

Perfect
Literally love this kettle. The only thing is that the steeper isn’t going down deep enough into the machine, which means if I want to brew coffee, I have to brew a whole pot of coffee or else the water won’t reach the coffee grinds in the filter as well as tea if I want to brew tea, I have to brew two or three bags at a time in order for the tea to reach the water. Can’t just make one cup, which is kind of annoying other than that the kettle is great. And beautiful the lights are cute. It works really fast. The water boils extremely quickly. I find the ability to hide this cord in a circle underneath the plate is also a nice feature. It says on my counter and stops me from having to worry about getting knocked over people have said that the kettle is wobbly while it’s on the plate, but that’s only because the plate is light and when there’s no water in the kettle, it isn’t really wobbly. It’s just not securely flat because of the cord being on the bottom, it would be impossible for it to be flat but when there’s water in the kettle, there’s nothing it’s not wobbly at all. If you’re worried about a wobbly kettle, don’t leave water on the pot after a boil take it off and put it on the counter. It could be warm the glasses warm the handle is not warm so when you have boiled water and you wanna take it off the plate so it’s not wobbly just put it on top of a pot holder. Delivery came fast by the way. As well, you might wanna consider buying the one that’s like new condition they state that you might not get a box or packaging, but I got everything that everybody else gets. I checked online the box the wrapping, and the it was not sealed yet it looked new. Perfect condition and I got money off for because it was opened already.

Excellent kettle — perfect temperatures for tea and coffee
The Chefman Electric Kettle with Temperature Control is a big step up from a basic kettle. The preset temperature settings and simple two-button operation make it super easy to boil water exactly how you want — whether it’s a full boil or a lower temperature for coffee or tea. I especially appreciate that I can brew coffee without burning it and make tea at the right steeping temperature — that’s the main reason I bought it, and it delivers perfectly. The LED indicator lights are a nice touch, and the removable tea infuser adds versatility. Overall, this kettle is well-designed, easy to use, and ideal for anyone who cares about getting the water temperature just right for their drinks.
