A: These speakers will replace your stock ones and will get great sound and bass, however; I think that without an amp will miss loudness.
You can never go wrong with these fantastic speakers!

A: No there is no grill, but it is the best speaker I have ever bought. Excellent price, extremely loud, excellent bass, no audible distortion. You can't buy a better speaker; I have tried many.

These speakers have been AMAZING! They remain crystal clear and pump out sound, comparable to other brand speakers that are almost double the price. I have these powered by a pioneer 4 channel running about 75 watts with a 0-300hz inline crossover. They are fantastic. The mids are very sharp, deafening at times, but that's to be expected. They don't need a tweeter in my opinion and can work just fine as a stand alone or along side a subwoofer tuned to pretty low frequencies. The magnet is huge and this speaker weighs significantly more than any cheaply made coaxial 6x9 out there. It also worth mentioning: *PLEASE* run this speaker with either an active or passive crossover. In my testing, the safest frequency to play these at is 200hz before you'll notice clipping and eventually ruin the voice coil. Other than that, these speakers are great.
