Are the ingredients actually printed on the container** A: Yes. Ingredients: Coconut Milk 100% is printed on the side in English and several other languages. I purchased this item specifically because I do not trust "US Standards". I can not find 100% coconut milk in America, there are always other questionable ingredients listed. **Q: How is this coconut milk processed that the cream doesn't separate? That doesn't seem natural to me.** A: It actually contains an undeclared emulsifier: Polysorbate 60 (polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan monostearate) aka E435. They should list it, and do list it on the labels in some other countries that are stricter. It's also 70% coconut extract and 30% water, which is basically the definition of coconut milk. Saying that the ingredient is "coconut milk" would be like a jar of mayonnaise stating "INGREDIENT: MAYONNAISE 100%" and is just a meaningless tautology. They never state that it is 100% coconut, because it isn't. **Q: Why does the description claim this is 100% coconut milk with no additives, but the photo clearly shows it contains emulsifier E435?** A: That might be an old picture. The carton that I have right now doesn’t have emulsifier in the ingredients. It tastes amazing and is great for being plastic endocrine disruptor-free (because not in a can) and additive free (no gums, preservatives or stabilizers which are bad for your gut). Because it doesn't contain stabilizers or preservatives it goes bad quickly, but can be stored in the fridge safely for two days and I find I can drink a whole 8.5 oz container to myself in my coffee or diluted to make coconut milk for smoothies/cereal in that time frame.I love that this doesn't taste heavily of coconut and tends to remain as milk even though coconut milk often separates into water and fat. If it does separate (as often happens in cooler ambient temps), soaking in a hot water bath for 5-10 minutes takes care of it. I have small glass jars I transfer the leftovers to to keep the unused portion fresh.Only think is the most recent purchase from Kah Mart was of inferior quality. It tasted like it had gone bad and was thin and watery. I tried contacting the seller and they did not get back to me in the expected time frame, so I contacted Amazon and they gave me a refund for the inferior product and I ordered a new batch from another seller.I've been purchasing this product in the same 8.5 oz container monthly for the last 9 months and experienced no issues with quality until this most recently batch (all different sellers). I've been ordering this product for the last few months regularly and have been very happy with it. I heard about this brand through a facebook group I follow when I was looking for a non-dairy milk that didn't have fillers. This brand was highly recommended and I'm glad I didn't read the past reviews on here otherwise I might not have purchased it. I use it every morning in my coffee and it also works well in oatmeal, smoothies, cooking, etc.The recommendation to use within 3 days of opening the carton is pretty accurate. I didn't not find a different when transferring the milk to a bottle with a lid vs. just leaving it in the carton with the open corner folded over. It's always been smooth and made my morning coffee a treat. I usually order 2 dozen at a time. The last two batches have been awful - the top crusted with solid fat, and watery liquid at the bottom. I even heated each carton in a double boiler to see if it would help mix it to the right consistency, but separated again immediately after cooling down. I ordered a second batch, hoping it was a fluke but the second batch was the same.
