A few years ago I had received a few small bags of ground coffee that go on sale during the holidays. I forget exactly which one it was but the flavor and brew tasted perfect. It might have been the Ghirardelli brand and It was the best cups of coffee I've ever had. I own a Keurig and enjoy Starbucks coffee but this holiday pack of coffee seriously tasted the best. It was creamy, robust, and not bitter at all. With that said, Keurig and Starbucks brew excellent coffee but nothing compared to that once in a lifetime cheap gift bag. I have no idea why that coffee tasted amazing. All I can think of is the combination of beans, roast, grind, freshness, hint of chocolate and brew that made it the most enjoyable cup of coffee. Perhaps it was partially my morning breath or the amount of chemicals in the water that day, who knows. Anyway, onto the review of this organic coffee...I just got done drinking an entire pot of this stuff that was brewed in my percolator brewer, Texsport 9 Cup Stainless Steel Percolator Coffee Maker for Outdoor Camping and the coffee tasted fantastic! It reminded me of that once in a lifetime cheap gift bag coffee. I'm so thrilled since this coffee has become the best tasting coffee I've ever had. The reason I ordered this 2lb bag is because I want to save the Kcups for the weekday convenience and brew this on the weekends. My wife and I drink way too many Kcups during the week and need to come up with a new plan for our massive coffee consumption. During the weekend I end up drinking several Kcups and wanted to start brewing pots again which is the primary reason for the percolator.# Pros- Medium-dark was exactly as I expected. I like bold coffee but not burnt tasting like Starbucks and not weak like McD's.- Beautiful beans. Grabbed a handful for inspection prior to shoving them into the manual grinder.- By far the best tasting coffee brewed in my percolator.- Organic and I like what they are doing.- Best quality for the price.- Rich and creamy bold flavors, hint of chocolate. Not bitter or sour tasting.# Cons- None. With the pros and cons out of the way, I would like to mention; I'm no "coffee connoisseur" and don't pretend that I'm an expert in taste testing coffee. I simply enjoy drinking coffee. I remember that gift bag coffee being one of the best I've ever brewed. Sure I have a problem and need to have my morning coffee, my afternoon coffee, and evening coffee... I'm a software developer by trade and I drink a lot of coffee. The best coffee is the one that you remember and sure it could be McD's, Tim Hortons, etc... I've consumed a lot of coffee from numerous coffee shops here and have not experienced the "wow" moment like I did with that cheap gift bag coffee and I did with this. I have brewed so many different K-cups and the brands I enjoy the most are the Newman's Own and San Francisco Bay Fog Chaser. If you enjoy those brands, I recommend this coffee but please note, this coffee does not taste like the brands mentioned. For those wondering about brewing this in a percolator... I ground the coffee beans in a manual grinder - Most Consistent Hand Coffee Grinder & Coffee Press - Ceramic Burr Manual Coffee Grinder fits in Aeropress - set on a course grind setting (kosher salt). I use the water from my RO system. 1 heaping table spoon of grinds per cup. Watched the glass viewer on the percolator get to the right color. Pour and enjoy.

Decent coffee for the price, vacuum packaging.
Update:i found the venting/degass vent! it is cover by Amazon label. 3 weeks after I opened the bag the bean is still fresh.I was a little hesitant to order with some of the negative reviews in the earlier reviews. But it was recommend by Amazon while searching so I gave it a try.Cafe Don Pablo Subtle Earth Organic - Medium Dark Roast Arabic whole bean coffee is one of the better coffee bean I have tried. When I opened the bag the beans smelled fresh. I took out a scoop of beans for quick inspection and did not see too many broken beans. I do pour over coffee everyday. This medium dark roast is slightly on the lighter side and does not taste burnt and is not acidic. Coffee taste smooth both hot or cold. Aroma is good but wish it is a little richer in flavor. The coffee is packaged in vacuum bag so it does not have a degassing vent. Once open you will need to finish in reasonable amount of time before bean become staled.

Need more STARS to give to this!!!!
Organic. Low acidity. YES! The taste... there's a reason I've stayed with this brand for several years now! Rich, smooth, never bitter, do I detect a little chocolate? No jitters, no stomach upset. Everyone I share it with raves. Even my granddaughter said I make much better coffee than her mom!!! :) I make sure these days to have extra in reserve, because running out and having to substitute anything else while I await my next order is truly heartbreaking. As far as a reputable, ethical company, this small Family Business focuses on sustainability, personal customer service, community involvement, and aiding and assisting fellow human beings. You know that expression, "all you add is love?" Yeah, this company, and their products, have it!!

Best coffee
Only coffee I buy anymore. I’m a coffee snob but I love this coffee. Taste is great, nice and full bodied. And the best part is that I don’t end up with heartburn or indigestion anymore! So much nicer on my stomach. definitely recommend.

Dark, Oily Beans! 🫘 💛
I just received these beans this morning. I was first upset as the BB date was 11 months out & these don’t have a roast date. But I was optimistic! I opened the beans & pleased to say they are oily. Yay! I ground them & made an espresso. Just to also defend these beans I have a 29 year old grinder & Espresso maker. (Krups). Dating me. lol. I made an espresso & yum! I used 15 grams of ground coffee. Very strong! The way I like it! A little bitter but a very nice deep bite if this makes sense. I admit, I have a bit of a buzz from 2 cups! That makes me so happy. lol. Meaning it is strong & satisfying. I have been previously buying ground coffee & can do 5 cups a day with no affect. So to have two cups & feel awakened & I am using less HWC (heavy whipping cream). Normally 30g but with these beans only 15g! So I am saving on my fat. Good news, these are keeper beans. I bought this brand years ago & then just stopped. I don’t remember why. My Dr. suggested I buy a bean with less acid as I struggle with eczema. I just read espresso helps with this as it cooks in less time than perked coffee. Also cold brew is better also. All this to say, I’m going to finally invest in a new espresso maker & how I wish you could suggest one. But with that & a new espresso grinder I will be set for the next cup. This will be my go-to coffee. I hope you try this coffee, too. Try it you’ll love it! 💛☕️💛
