Inconsistent bar spacing
The bars are EXTREMELY flexible. I set it up but have not put my 8 week old rats in it yet. Some of the bar spacing is bigger than the rest and I'm afraid they will be able to get through. If I had to do it again, I would not buy

Has potential
I purchased this cage for a rescued wild mouse and decided to keep her as a pet. This cage as it is is unsuitable for a very small animal, but once covered with small wire mesh screening using twist ties and modified at the base, ladders and ledges, it becomes a potential palace for the animal. If I had a camera, I would include pictures. A lot of time and effort and thought went in to upgrading this cage, but my little pet loves it and I know it was the best choice, worth all the toil and trouble.

Great cage for the price! I was very worried that my 3 tiny, 2 month old dumbo rats would get out and they don't! Great for small tiny pets and durable!
