Most helpful tool you can have
Hello, I want to thank the author of this book for making it. I just had my d2 exam last weekend. After completing courses and having a flood of study materials, this book was the best tool I could have used. I found that it was the best way to study since the questions are in the test, but more in that he actually puts down were you can find the answers in the actual water distribution book. I studied this book for over a month, and the math as well and I bombed that test! I highly recommend this book! Study it thoroughly and I’m sure you will ace that test! Good luck

Excellent
This plus the ken kurry book helped me pass the test first try with absolute confidence. Flew through the questions, and the step by step math breakdown was really helpful.

Passed D2
Passed my D1 and D2 in California with this book the question were spot on and all I did was highlight all the answers and just memorized the questions and answers the math I would say is difficult to understand but I would say with water sifu .com for the math and this for multiple choice you will pass your d1 and d2 in California

Ken Tesh is covering 95% of what is on the test. Great format. Thanks Ken!

You will pass but the math part sucks
If you study this you will pass all the questions were the same on the state exam with the exception of a few that were worded different. My only complaint is that the book tried to explain the math using Pi instead of what actual operators which is .785 volume and not 3.14. If you want to pass the math I would take an actual course like a night class because you will get confused.

May be OK for California
A lot of other reviewers say this book helped them with the CA distribution test and I can believe that. The questions seem well written. However, if you are taking the standardized WPI/ABC test used in a lot of other states, like I did, then the value of this book is limited. I thoroughly understood the concepts behind the questions in this book but when I sat down for my actual Level 1 distribution test, I found many of the questions on details/topics that weren't really covered by these practice tests. I did fine on the test but I attribute that more to thoroughly studying the AWWA text book. The introduction for this book even mentions that it is based on the Water Distribution Operator Certification Exams for California.

Passed D1 and a year later D2
This book is spot on.Last year I took the D1 and used this book to help me study. I pretended I was taking the real exam except I would circle questions I had a hard time with and then afterwards I would would grade the exam writing down the page numbers of the ones I got wrong and the ones I struggled with (sometimes I guessed correctly)I would make flash cards out of these difficult questions and read the chapters about the subject.I passed my D1 no problem so I immediately applied to take the D2. It took nearly a year for them to get me a d 2 test date. And by then I could hardly remember anything so I opened this book again and repeated the process and voila! Passed my D2.I recommend folks to get this book, these questions are so similar to the actual test and also, don’t be like me, skip the D1. Waste of time. Go straight to D2, there wasn’t any difference. Thanks to the author of this book, really helped me a lot!
