Stunning second-chance romance!!!
A stunning second-chance romance had me under itās spell from the very first page. A powerful, inspiring, emotionally raw, intense, incredibly sexy, and breathtakingly romantic love story.Ian is sexy, fiercely protective, loyal, generous. London is beautiful, feisty, loyal, genuine, and strong. They fell in love as teenagers and were torn apart. Tragedy reunites them in a way neither saw coming. They now have no choice but to face their past along with their fears and come to terms with what happened all those years ago. Despite time, that magnetic pull to one another is still forever drawn home. No matter how hard they try to deny it, the hearts wants what it wants. Searching for that missing piece to make them whole and they are powerless to stop the fall. Watching these two fall in love was magical. Their passion still burns just as bright; their connection just as strong. The chemistry is electric and undeniable. How they fight for one another is beautifully breathtaking. The characters are relatable, the storyline is incredibly well-written and flowed seamlessly between these two amazing authors. The twists and turns are a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I could feel everything the characters experienced; the emotions radiated from the pages. The heartfelt moments stole my breath and the heartbreaking ones shattered my soul. A powerful story of love and forgiveness. I simply didnāt want their story to end. I highly recommend reading this book.

Ian and London's story will pull at the heartstrings!
When Corinne Michaels and Melanie Harlow announced they were going to collaborate on a book together, I was very, very happy. I love each of these author's books and I couldn't wait to see what they had in store for us. Hold You Close really, really tugs on the heartstrings, let me just tell you! This story is an enemies to lovers, second chance romance that has an angst factor of 10. Ian and London shared a very special night together 17 years ago, until Ian screwed it all up and broke London's heart. Now both of their hearts are broken when Ian's sister, London's best friend, dies and leaves instructions for Ian to take care of her three children. The push and pull factor between Ian and London is intense, hating each other one minute, lusting after each other the next. Both trying to figure out how to raise these three kids whose worlds are suddenly turned upside down. Both trying to figure out how to change their entire worlds for the kids, while still trying to go to work and do their jobs every day.I have to admit, Ian infuriated me, most of the time! After reading what he did to London all those years ago, even knowing why he did it, his present day treatment of her made me grind my teeth almost to breaking. I could totally understand why she was a bitch to him, 99 percent of the time! I didn't jump on the Ian bandwagon until pretty much close to the end of the book. And then once I did, I was totally an Ian girl!! Yes, he redeemed himself, and yes, London probably could have cut back on the bitch factor towards Ian a long time ago, but that first heartbreak leaves an indelible mark on your heart, and everyone handles that kind of hurt differently.I don't know which author wrote which parts, and it doesn't really matter, because the story moved at the perfect pace, the emotions were spot on, and the sexy times were oh so sexy!! And there was some heart in your throat drama at the very end that had me turning the pages way too fast to see how it was going to turn out!Bravo, Corinne and Melanie! People are going to love this story!!

life Unexpectedly
I guess the first thing I can say is wow. These two characters had such amazing chemistry. I loved how this book was written. You had every emotion hit at you and you didnāt know where to go. Ian and London had their lives turned upside down and found themselves in a position that they never thought they would be. They had to work their way around hate, love, and most of all stubbornness. I loved how their best friend/sister was still telling them what to do even after tragedy struck. I throughly enjoyed this book and I glad they got their HEA. Such a great read.

Okay
Ian broke Londonās heart when they were younger and since then itās been nothing but a battle of hatred between the two. Unfortunately with London being Ianās sisterās best friend they are around each other all the time. Then tragedy strikes and London and Ian are forced to play nice for the sake of three kids whose whole world has just been ripped apart.I have really been looking forward to this book since I first found out about it. The overall premise was unique but it was a pretty basic storyline with the tiniest bit of angst. There was sex while falling in love, the conflict and the resolution. Unfortunately I didnāt really care for the main characters that much. I loved the kids but as far as London and Ian go they both were pretty harsh and I didnāt get the big deal with Ian. To me he had no redeeming qualities. It felt like there was more hate than love. The hatred and eventually the love coming from both characters was so strong that the storyline almost felt weak in comparison. There was just too many harsh words and not enough loving moments where I was rooting for them as a couple. Iām glad I read it but I donāt think iāll ever reread. I loved the kids and I loved the overall synopsis of the story, I just didnāt love the story itself.

Shame
Shame of the male protagonist and spineless heroine. Manw*ore paired with a pathetic woman, who was celibate for 17 years. Disrespectful to women. Worst plot ever.

An excellent book from start to finish
I've kept away from other people's reactions to this book because I love Corinne's work so much I didn't want to be influenced by others. This book was exceptional - I laughed and I cried and I got angry and frustrated. I slapped my forehead a few times too. But it was everything that a Michaels' special is all about. I hold my hands up and admit that I have never read anything by her co-author Melanie Harlow but I would be interested in reading books solely authored by her good self. If you like hot romances you'll love this book and any others written by Corrine Michaels and, I can only assume as this book was so good, by Melanie Harlow as well. Exceptional congratulations to you ladies xxx
