Very Nice
Cold Steel has always offered fantastic folding blades! The Frenzy ii is no exception. The thing is huge, 5.5" blade and 12" unfolded. It's very well balanced. Even being that this blade is huge, it is thin, it is incredibly comfortable and lightweight in the pocket. It's hard to remember you're carrying it. The grip is ergonomic and very easy to control, even with smaller hands like mine. The cherry on top is: You're getting a high quality S35VN blade for $100 and it comes with a razor sharp edge from factory! Thanks for another excellent addition to my collection, Cold Steel!

Great for law enforcement and covert military
Perfect design and top quality materials. I own 2 and carry one in both pockets. Pocket clip is reversible. This is shaving sharp but carries well due,to its slender profile but it's one tough sticker and slicer. Make sure it's legal to carry in your state to avoid a felony charge. Most states only allow 4". New Hampshire allows anything including walking around with a sword strapped on your belt. Great for law enforcement as a backup or to even carry into battle.

One of the best self defense knives
I own a lot of big self defense knives. But this one might be my favorite one. I own the XL and L aspada, that are both great self defense knives, and the big Mayhem, they are all very nice. Down to knives, like the recon 1, sypderco yojumbo, and the list goes on. But this knife is light, fits in pocket, where I forget it’s there. A 5.5 Inch blade, S35vn steel, that is highly rated, that curves down just a little bit at the end. So it’s still good for stabbing, and slicing. Cold steel shows a video, where a guy cuts threw, a one inch rope with one swipe. So what more could you ask for in a self defense knife, length, strength, and good fit in the pocket. Plus I can flick it open with my wrists or with the thumb knob, and wrist. I highly recommend buying this knife.

Awesome Knife
This knife is awesome. It is 1/2" thick, 6 3/4" long closed and weighs 5.6 ounces. That is lighter than most cell phones and I've had normal folding knives that weighed more. The Tri-Ad lock is rock solid. It is not a bush knife but in a pinch the American S35VN steel and Tri-Ad lock would make do. You can find reviews of people abusing it. It came with a very sharp point and a decently sharp edge. Tested on cardboard and water bottles you barely feel any resistance while stabbing. I think this knife is close to the perfect urban EDC where my most likely worst case scenario is self defense and not being stuck in the woods trying to survive. Some people do not see the use of a self defense knife but I'm not one of them. In Texas I can carry a 5 1/2" long blade unrestricted anywhere I am unable to carry my gun. Some tips:1.Oil it soon as you get it (good practice for all steel tools)2.Leave it open at a 90 degree angle every night to loosen up the Tri-Ad lock release, you will have a sore thumb playing with it for the first few days.3.You can loosen the pivot bearing with a T9 torx bit, just a hair not even 1/4 turn let me be able to flick it open with my wrist.4.SnaggleTooth tactical LLC sells a thumb stud mod that gives it an emerson wave like function, allowing you to open the blade while removing it from your pocket. It works flawlessly. The only real CONS I have for this knife for my intended purpose is that closing it one handed is not really safe or recommended and that you might get strange looks busting it out for normal utility uses like opening a package or cutting your sandwich at the deli =p

Almost perfect
Almost the perfect knife for me.I would however like to see a more premium version in Magnacut with titanium handle while hopefully keeping weight and price manageable.Asking for a lot but that is what it takes to get 5 points.Large knife that is still low profile and easily handled.Secure lock which is better than easy deployment for me.You can add a device to make it emerson wave capable and open when drawn out of pocket.Good steel .. actually for me the steel which I judge all other steels by. Would prefer Magnacut but s35vn is to me the standard and that is above standard.

It really does fit in your pocket!
I was leary of getting one of the so called XL folding knives for two simple reasons, will it fit in my pocket and will it deploy easily? After playing around with my new Frenzy for a couple hours I can answer yes to both those questions. For such a large folding knife it is lightweight and fast and damned if it isn't a beautiful knife. I purchase my knives for specific tasks and a few that I assign multiple tasks to, such as my SRK. The Frenzy is for self defense in my world and after playing around with it I can say it will fill that roll admirably. This is the first folder that I've owned that is for self defense, as I don't trust folding knives in that roll, but after researching the CS tri ad lock, I'm convinced that it will perform well for self defense. You can do other tasks with the knife, but once you have it in your hand you can decide what role it was made for. With the blade being made from S35VN this is a great knife and a fun knife, especially when you pull it out for your friends to see for the first time. It's worth the money and you won't be disappointed.

Nice knife!
This is a really intimidating knife, awesome! Pull it out to cut your steak while dining with friends! Also, I can flick it open without using the thumb knob. The blade lock is very tight, might ease up after some use.
