They are incredibly stretchy and strong. BUT if you shoot a lot at once you run the risk of the heat melting the rubber through the keymod, but if you’re using it for home defense or as a patrol rifle you will be just fine. **Q: Will they fit around an AR butt stock to secure sling? Also, how well do they stand up to heat to secure light pressure switch on handguard?** A: I use mine on the stock to secure the sling for stowing in my work truck and it’s great, I also use one to attach a smaller twenty round mag on the other side of the stock. Not so much for fighting but to throw in a pocket after deployment. The pressure switch idea would be dependent on your personal use. For home defense or whatever it would be fine, but I am a little skeptical if things got extremely rowdy or you were at the range, it’s rubber after all an it might melt. Of course if it were on a foregrip I would say ok. **Q: Will these tear easily if punctured?
