Q: How loud is this saw compared to other benchtop table saws?

This saw is much quieter. (Comparing to a dewalt) Been using it for over a year now. Very light weight as well. Many plastic parts, does require some tuning to make sure the fence is square.

Q: Can I use a dado stack with this saw?

I would not use a dado stack. I don’t think it is powerful enough.

Q: Does it need to be assembled?

No. The guard and saw fence need to be put in, but the saw is job ready right out of the box.

Q: will it work with an 8" dado set?

I haven't used one on this saw myself but I don't see why you couldn't.
