Safety/Really Bright
I bought the blue collar & lead to match and they are brilliant, really bright and good quality, I also bought the pink collar and lead for my other pooch & get great comments from people we see on our walks in the dusk/dark.They also help the pooches & self to see what they are sniffing!!I would 100% recommend them to keep them safe.Thank you

Lovely lead, but a couple of design flaws
I'll be honest, the first reason I purchased this because it came in purple, and I had never seen a purple LED lead before. Also, I've worked my way through a lot of different LED leads on Amazon, and they rarely last a year. This one has good reviews from Amazon.com, so I was hopeful that this time, the investment would last a little longer. It comes in a very simple plastic bag with a sheet of instructions. Not that you need them if you've had one of these LED leads before. Plug it into the USB, charge it up for a few hours, press the button to turn on the lights, and click it again to cycle it to one of the different light flashing patterns. Fast flash, slow flash, constant on, or off. The lights are nice and bright, and very visible. It's an almost white light. The lead is in three parts. The handle, the main body of the lead which houses the LEDs, and the hook which clips on to your dog's collar or harness. These parts are connected by a metal swivel mechanism. I will get onto that later. The fabric of the lead is quite thick, and a sandwich of bulbs and material. The LEDs are clearly embedded in one part of this sandwich, but the backing fabric is thin enough for the light to be visible. The lead is comfortable in the hand. There is padding to the handle, and it was perfectly fine over a couple of miles. Now, on to the bits I didn't like. Please note that I used this lead to walk a beagle, which I class as a medium sized dog, and so some of these points may not be relevant if you're walking a very large or small dog.The main flaw is the fact that the light up part of the lead is separated from the handle and collar clip by two swivel hooks, which allow the LED strip to swivel around. I assume these are to help take some of the tension off the LED strip, which is (I suspect) why the other LED leads I've owned have failed. The dog pulls too hard on the lead, and the delicate wire between the bulbs is damaged and eventually fails. However, this leads to the laws of gravity taking over. The side of the LED strip with the bulbs embedded in it is heavier than the lightweight fabric backing strip. Because these swivel clips allow free movement of the LED strip, the heavier LED layer swings down to face the ground. Whatever I did, I could not get the LEDs to face upwards, and the strongest part of the lighting was directed pointlessly at the pavement. As I said, lights were visible through the thin backing fabric of the LED strip, but surely you'd want the lights pointing away from the pavement? I read a review from Amazon.com where one owner used cable ties to keep the LEDs facing upwards, but why should they have to? Massive design flaw. These swivel hooks do not add to the design. The other thing which I disliked about this (And like I said, this is probably only relevant if you have a similar sized dog to me) was that at six feet, the lead is wider than my local pavements, meaning my dog could quite merrily hop out into the road. If it wasn't for the swivels on the body of the lead, I could probably have wrapped the lead around my hand, but the swivels meant this was difficult, and I was afraid of damaging the wiring for the LED strip. Yes, this is in part my fault because I should have read the product description a little better and seen it was six feet, rather than the usual 4ft/120cm leads I usually get.In terms of quality, it compares well to other leads I have purchased in the past. Construction is excellent, and I did love the colour. However, I had to return it because the swivel hooks meant the lights were permanently facing the floor, which defeats the point of buying a lead to illuminate your dog and keep them safe.

Nice and bright
Lights are bright and works well. Perhaps the lead is a little too long but certainly not an issue.

Good for winter walks in the dark
Bought the pink LED lead, think it looks great. Stands out well for walking in the dark.

Useful in the dark
It’s ok. Quite bright and the charge lasts a long time really but it’s a bit stiff and plastic to fold up. Not as flexibleas I imagined.

Quality
Very well made and having single lights down the leash makes the battery last longer than having a continuous led bar running the length of the leash. I had another one from a different company and although the glow was good it started coming apart. Very pleased with the construction of this one. I like the Blue Led. Goes with with his blue Buffalo Bills Harness.

Very stiff, but GREAT for night visibility, strong, holds charge well, perfect length
The media could not be loaded. Delighted. Definitely recommend. I've used the large, pink version every night for almost six weeks, along with rechargeable hoop style collars by another vendor (BSEEN). Our visibility is much improved, making us far easier to spot by drivers, but also other walkers of dogs, my main concern for most of our suburban walks. The photos uploaded here by other folks illustrate very well how this leash shows up at night. I've used it in wet weather and fine. Love it.I thank every dog owner who remains alert at night so that I can call out to you and avoid a barking and lunging episode by my reactive dog in training. (For those who feel safe zoning out with earbuds or your phone, I do wonder . . . but at least when you're lit, I can spot you from afar and stay well away.)CHARGING. Our walks are 20-40 minutes. I've only charged this leash twice in six weeks.STIFFNESS. As others have mentioned, the portion of the leash with the LED light strip is very stiff, utterly unlike the leads I use during the day -- but that hasn't been a problem for us now that my guy does quite well with loose-leash walking. We've had several surprise fox encounters with some lunging from my 68-pounder, but I've received no leash "burns" from the stiff edges, in part due to how I hold the leash plus the aid of gloves in cold weather. The hand loop is lightly padded and in extremis, I also use the padded back loop on my guy's harness. I would not have used this lead with bare hands when this dog was still in leash training, though, because he's pretty powerful and passionate. It would have hurt without gloves. However, at this point in our training, the stiffness of the leash is not even an annoyance because the lights are so useful.STRENGTH. Leash material, construction, and hardware seem strong enough for my 68-lb young adult. He's no longer a Tazmanian devil, but has given this leash some very good tests. I'll update if I experience a break, but don't expect one.LENGTH. Because I like a 6' lead, which I gather and extend frequently during a walk, I would not have wanted a shorter leash than the large. That's partly why I chose this brand over others that were only 4'. It doesn't matter to me that the approx. 4-5" extender at the dog end is not lit (that's probably better for the dog anyway). I just saw that a 10" lit extension is also available from Blazin' Safety. I'll think about it, but I currently enjoy charging just one port.LIGHTS ON ONE SIDE. A couple of reviewers have been concerned that the lights are only on one side. For me, not an issue at whatsoever. The LEDs shine through the fabric just fine. They can be seen at least two blocks away. I don't worry about which way the leash is facing for visibility. (If I want to be super-dooper sure a driver sees us, I move to a safer spot, have my dog sit by me, lift the leash vertically, and pop on the flashing setting. If they fail to see that, plus his blinking rave necklace and mine, then we're doomed, and whaddya gonna do?)CONVENIENCE. Easy to turn on with one thumb or finger by holding button for a full second; then easy to progress through fast blinking, slow blinking, and off (with shorter button clicks).Overall, a great purchase that worked straight outta the box and has substantially improved our night walks.

Bright light but only on one side
The light is nice and bright on one side of the lead. It has unusual metal swivel links at the top and bottom which make it quite heavy. Other than that, the light seems to work well.

Really bright
I absolutely love the brightness and it makes me happy that I’m keeping my dogs safe and seen at night. I ordered a small leash 4 foot but they have a bigger size. There’s a long period of time before I have to charge the leash or collar, so that’s nice. Seems sturdy . Love the colors.

NOT 6FT
Not the greatest leash but tough enough. Cool that it lights up for added safety. However, these are not 6ft. They are only 4ft!!!! Big difference when it comes to walking your dog.
