Gatco1283 Elevate All Modern Décor Double Rectangle Hook, Chrome/Wall Mounted 6.5" W X 2" H 2-Hook/Robe, Towel Hook for Bathroom

1. I’m a mechanical engineer. I have never come across a more poorly designed apparatus. Installation was not possible due to inadequate hardware.2. The provided screws are not long enough to engage with the molly bolt anchors. The height of part B prevents the threads of the screw from engaging in the bolt. See attached photo.3. The hooks come engaged with Part B in the box. To install, part B must first be disengaged from the hooks in order for the screw to be inserted. This requires removing a set screw (no problem) then exerting enormous amounts of time and force to disengage Part B from the hook (part C). I had to use WD40, pliers and a screw driver to finally pop the components apart. This scratched the chrome finish even with employing a rag around the mouth of the piers.4. I want to return this product and receive a full refund. However, the molly bolts are permanently installed in my drywall and cannot be removed. So I either pry them out and leave large holes in my wall, or I go to the hardware store to purchase longer screws. I am not happy with the product or this brand at all. Their products may be attractive but they have been design using inferior engineering. My professional opinion: DO NOT PURCHASE.

Beautiful robe hook that should have taken 10 mins maximum to Install took an hour and a half. The Molly bolts that come with the package or crap and did not hug the unit tight enough to stay in place on the wall. So I went to the local hardware store and bought replacement toggles. The Molly bolts put a huge hole in the wall so I did my best to use the same hole but now I can’t get the unit level. It’s a beautiful unit but for $22, they should provide more reliable bolts AND provide an option for installing into a wall stud. What should have been an insanely simple install wound up being a massive annoying hassle. Once you have the right tools, it’s rock solid.

UPDATE. Received a replacement and was able to Install finally. The instructions recommend using a power drill for the screws. I would suggest NOT using a power tool for those. I used that the first time and the screw heads stripped. Had to purchase a screw extraction kit to remove. Used a non powered normal screw driver on the replacement and installed nicely. Ended up costing an extra $20 with having to purchase an extraction kit tho. Not happy about that for sure. But glad this is done finally.AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!!!!! The screw head stripped and now I can’t do anything with it. Stuck in wall. Can’t unscrew. Piece of crap. Need my money back at least! So angry!!!!!

These are a little different in design. The front of each hook is held on by a set screw (a wrench is supplied), The mounting screw is behind the hook and each hook is individually attached to the wall. The hook base holds the plate firmly and nothing is loose when installed correctly. Mine was supplied with actual Molly bolts which is my favorite hollow wall anchor. I did not use them because I screwed the hooks directly to a wood brace behind the wall which was part of a pocket door. You could hang more than 25 pounds to mine however less if you use the hollow wall anchor. I'll be buying more for our new house.

Great look for the price. I purchased form seller open box at half the price brand new. No scratches and hardware's included. Came with heavy duty molly bolts -no adhesive. However, I live in an apartment and didn't want to damage the door, so I installed on bathroom door with Scotch adhesive strips that hold up to 5lbs (used 2 of them) and renforced with just normal screws that fit instead of the molly bolt screws (as u will need these to complete and put the rest of the towel rack together.) It does require a bit assembling, but super easy. Added just the right touch of modern. Very happy!

We bought this set of hooks for our bathroom renovation. My husband had put blocking between the studs for hanging towel bars, toilet paper holder, hooks, etc. This set came with three separate hooks, each with a Molly bolt to anchor it in the wall, and a back plate. It wouldn't work for our plan of attaching it to wood for strength. We ended up hanging it higher than planned to avoid the wood blocks. Now, it is anchored only in drywall, which is what we were trying to avoid in the first place.All our other bath accessories were from the Gatco Elevate set, and this was the only piece that had these fasteners.The look is pretty cool, though. You can't tell how it is supported.

Ignore the other bad rating reviews! this looks perfect in my bathroom and was easy to install. If I can install it under 10 minutes, you can too!There are little "O" rings on the screws... I had to take these off in order to screw into the wall properly. Simple and easy.

We recently redid our master bath and wanted to update the trim pieces as well. This is fine crafted part that is modern and stylish.

There is a problem with the way the parts are arranged for you to install. Part B and C come pre-attached for some reason and in order to be able to install the hook they need to be separate as it is also shown on the instructions sheet that came in the box. You would think it would be easy enough to separate them and then put them back together after the screw is in but NOOOOO they are actually glued!!! It took two of us 45 minutes to separate them using all kinds of tools and of course it was impossible to do so without damaging them. I have shown the glue and the damage on the photos I've taken and attached. With the amount of headache it gives you it's not worth this price. I do not recommend it.

the look and the quality are great.con: it is a precision installing and I would not follow the provided instructions if I was you. I started by making the first hole and installing the anchor, and then mounting the hook, use it to draw a dot straight in the second hook hole. Remove the hook, make the second hole and install the anchor, et voilà. USE REGULAR DRYWALL ANCHOR, even tho it holds less weight, it still holds above 50 pounds.

Nice finish. It's not simple to install. It needs to be installed with No Margin for Error... the plate doesn't allow any type of misalignments whatsoever. Just FYI.

Very nice quality product I found it easy to install and the shipping was super fast. A little bit pricey but it will probably be worth it in the long run.
