Excellent for 2006 Toyota Sienna LE w/ manual lliftgate. Buy TWO of these 1-arm packs.
Great quality, easy fit, well-packaged for shipping by Lift Supports Depot, and great fit on my 2006 Toyota Sienna LE with manual liftgate. Buy TWO of these one-arm packages for your vehicle. These were about 1/4" (or maybe 3/8") shorter than the ones I removed, but they function perfectly and the opened hatch is not lower than it originally was, as far as I can tell (however I'm only 5'6" tall). This is the exact same part & brand as that offered by my nearby auto parts store, at half the price! Amazon does have some less expensive other-brand versions that I considered, but I couldn't be certain they'd fit my vehicle, so I went with these StrongArm 6140's instead. I'm very happy with these. I bought two of these single-unit packs instead of the 2-pack of StrongArm 6140 that is also available on Amazon because it was slightly cheaper.Note that the installation video and instructions indicate that the shaft end of the lift support should normally be on the bottom WHEN THE HATCH IS CLOSED. On my vehicle the orientation of the lift support changes as you close the hatch: the end that was on top during installation ends up on the bottom when closed. Keep that in mind.

Too strong
They are easy to install, but the tension is too high for my 2005 Toyota Sienna. Not sure if I want to keep them or return them at this point.

Very happy with my decision to buy these for my 2007 Sienna...
After going into about 5 auto part stores over a two week period and not having any luck finding them (even had some of the guys take my name and number to call me if they could get them), I decided to order them from Amazon. I should have done this right from the beginning. The price on Amazon was lower than what I was being quoted at the auto part stores. Using Amazon Prime with free two-day shipping and one-click ordering, the purchase was very simple and I had them on my doorstep in 2 days.Installing them literally took less than 5 minutes. All I needed was a pole to hold up the back hatch and flathead screwdriver. You just use the screwdriver to pry up the metal clips on the old lifts (very easy), pull them out and snap the new ones in place. Anyone can do this. It really couldn't be easier. The hatch seems to open higher than it did before so I have much better headroom.I've only had them on for a couple of days so I don't know how durable they will be, but they seem pretty strong. As long as they last a few years, I would consider this a great purchase.

great replacement
Easy to install. Be sure to read directions first and don't take the clips off the ends simply set the open end on the ball joint and wack it hard and it will slide in. I took the clips off thinking I would set it and then put the clips back on but it was near impossible. Everyone said 5 minute install took me 30 because I was silly. They seem to work great. There is a slight hesitation when the lift gate opens, it stops or slows way down about eye level so you have to pause before stepping forward or else it will knock you in the nose as it continues up. Powerful arms, hope to get a few good years out of them.

Purchase at your own risk
So-so product. I purchased 2 lifting arms and only one worked. The defective lifting arm was not able to support very little weight, let alone the weight of the tailgate. After a quick inspection, I was able to see that the arm was able to move in and out with less than 10 pounds of force.A request was sent for a replacement a day later. I received a response to my request within 3 hours after sending my request. 7 days later, I sent a follow up email asking for the status of my replacement item. Part of the response I received was, "I am not sure what happened with the order."After receiving 2 more replacement lifting arms, I quickly realized that one of the two new arms was also defective. To recap, of the four lifting arms I received, two were defective and a total of 12 days were needed to resolve my issue. Not good. :-( Other than that, the product that actually worked is good.

Great buy! I purchased two of these when my ...
Great buy! I purchased two of these when my trunk stopped springing open. I was having to hold the trunk open with one hand and use my other hand to remove/put stuff in. These are very easy to install. My husband was able to install by himself in less than 5 minutes. He said he was able to just pop them in without even having assistance. They are just as good than the original ones that were on my 2006 Toyota Sienna. The spring in them is pretty strong, so it is sometimes a little difficult to push down initially, but I think it is just because they are brand new. The trunk opens super quickly and functionally now. I know that if I had brought the van in to the shop to get this done, it would have been expensive, so this was definitely worth the buy. The price and ease of install are the biggest “pros” I would say on this purchase.

Great product, great price!
I ordered two of these for my Sienna Van because the gate was no longer staying up. I checked on the Toyota replacement part and it was $180 apiece. I checked with a local branch of a national chain auto parts store, $48.00 apiece. I ordered two of these for the same price, replaced both struts on my van and they have worked like a charm. turns out only one of the original pieces was bad, but I saved it for an extra just in case. Don't hesitate to order these. They are easy to replace yourself and work well.

A bit shorter in price and length...
It really doesn't lift the door of my Toyota Sienna very fast in temps below about 40 F. I was also disappointed to find these are about 3/4 inch shorter than the original arms which means the lift gate in open position about 2 inches lower to the ground so taller guys will bump their heads more.
