Gulfstream Tropical AGU00259 Mag-Float Mini Glass and Acrylic Aquarium Cleaner

This is my second Mag-Float cleaner. My original is a small, which is about 50% larger than this one. That said, this works great in my son's 3 gallon hex tank. Cleans the glass (plastic) perfectly and without much effort. We normally just leave it in the tank on the back out of sight. The magnets are SUPER strong and do a great job of keeping the cleaner on the tank wall and clearing off the gunk. When you do loose the magnetic connection, it's easy to recapture. Because it floats, it just ends up getting pushed around the top by the filter's water flow. Once near the side, I just grab it again with the magnet. I have a cheaper magnet cleaner that doesn't float and the magnets are quite inferior to what's in here. Pros: Cleans Very Well Floats Strong Magnets to Keep it Working Easy to Use Cons: A little more pricy than similar - but less effective products. When cleaning corners, it fails to get deep inside the corner, requiring alternative cleaning of the corners. Overall: Highly Recommend.

Ive been working in and out of pet shops for 30 years. Recommended this for years..other brands suck. This is the brand to get. Im hearing complaints about this magnet, first off this works just fine on glass tanks. The mini is small, very small...great on tanks under 10 gal! 10 gallon tank up the next size. The magnet is strong enough...it has to give alittle to go around corners! If it separates give it a sec, they will draw back together. Just remember this is great to use for everyday day use on algae! If you have a tank that has been neglected and cant see through the tank cause its so bad. Get a algae pad ((MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT PAD)) they have different pads for glass and acrylic. Clean it and use this for maintaining your tank.

I originally bought a large one with a scrapper for my 75gallon tank and was super impressed! It works really well and is admittedly fun to use! I was impressed enough to order another mini one for my 14 gallon tank. The mini works very well but not quite as well as the large. The magnet seems appropriate for the thickness of glass but without the scrapper and with the weaker magnet it requires many more passes to get the same cleaning effect. All in all it’s still pretty awesome and gets the job done!

Works well on glass. Do not use on acrylic! It's great for cleaning any stuff on the glass near the gravel line. My only problem is some of my bigger fish have knocked it loose a few times even when it's in the bottom corner. I'll keep playing around till I find the best spot. I like that it saves me from having to stick my hands in the tank when I want to do a fast clean up. It's simple to use and you just rinse the inside part when it gets dirty. I bought this for a 10 gallon tank and it's a good size for the tank.

This little algae scrubber works well. Because if it's small size, it does a nice job of getting into the small corners. The magnet inside is quite strong and keeps the two halves "connected" through the glass. Nice that if the two halves do seperate, the inside half will float to the top. I do recommend this item. Don't be fooled by cheaper immitations.

Absolutely awful. It doesn’t even move without the magnet coming loose. Ive used this brand for years in larger sizes and have always been very satisfied. This mini model is absolute garbage and useless. DO NOT BUY

It’s not as strong as I’d thought though so I’d go next size up even in it’s a nano tank. Other wise always nice quality.

Purchased the mini for my 3 1/2 gallon acrylic bow front Betta aquarium. Works like a charm. I love that it floats and stays attached to the side of my aquarium when not in use.
