Great waffle maker!
After having bubble waffles with ice cream at a convention, my kids just HAD to have one of these! It's so fun! I had a couple concerns before I purchased, but I haven't had any issues so far, and it's got A LOT of use. I thought cleaning it would be hard because of all the bubbles, but it's so easy. I just wipe it with a paper towel. I also didn't want to have to buy expensive bubble waffle mix all the time, but I was delighted to find that regular waffle mix works great in it. Bubble waffles are sweeter, so I usually just add vanilla extract. Buy this, you won't regret it!

Quickly cook up smaller bubble waffles, right in your home
Overall, makes nice bubble waffles. The "bubble" is smaller, about the size of grape tomatoes. The pans get hot quickly and fairly evenly, maybe a bit fast that it can burn quickly. The included recipe makes a mostly soft waffle, with slight crispness on the outside, different than waffles you get from street vendors. With this type of waffle, it will be a little messy when flipping over, and some batter coming out the sides. It's a smaller device that gets very hot, so may not be an ideal "cook with small kid" activity. Overall, it works well and fun to make, at home.

My attempt at Hong Kong style egg waffle
My kids love bubble waffle from Happy Lemon so this machine is perfect for making it at home. The trick is to NOT oil the nonstick surface to get the shine and crisp. I started with making Hong Kong style egg waffle recipe from scratch, but sometimes I just want a quick option so I tried Krusteaz Belgian Waffle Mix where you need to add egg, water and oil. The image in the review is made from Krusteaz mix. Pour the mix, close the lid and flip it right away, then wait for the indicator light to know it’s done cooking. Sometimes I leave it in there a minute longer if it looks too light. Shouldn’t stick unless it overflowed then you just have uncooked batter to clean.

Kevin sent me.
It is just the thing, so cute. Kids love the waffles and well as adults. Any pancake mix will do.

It cooks ok but burns quickly
Just have to add enough batter else it will run put from all sides. When added just enough, it burns quickly. Have to stand next to it like a hawk to get perfect pancake. My son forced me to buy this. I think I like my cheap waffle maker much better. Such a waste of money.

issa all about temperature control in terms of cooking time, and batter viscosity
here's my variation of the other reviewer's recipeteaspoon 5 gramstablespoon 15 grams = 1 teaspoonall dry ingredients used teaspoon, tablespoon, cupflour 1 cupsugar 0.5 to 0.75 cuptapioca/corn starch 30 gramsevaporated milk 30 gramscustard power 15 grams , corn flourbaking powder 10 gramseggs 2-4water/milk 140 mlvegetable oil/butter 30 mlvanilla essence 15 mltoo lazy n cheap to get Bird's custard powder: main ingredient = corn flour2nd batch i used 4 eggs, 45 gram of tapioca, wanted a little more chewy. melted butter and vegetable oil. ultra-pasteurized milk (won't spoil for weeks) instead of water. batter not wet, flows very slowlyi don't fill the edges, let it cook for 20+ seconds, and close handle as tight as possible, flip over to batter to fill other side. too much batter will ooze out, so you will know to load less batter on next trycook less for more fluffiness, i personally like em crispy. tough to have both crispy edges and fluffy insideenjoy :)
