1/25 Autocar A64B Truck CabF

This was a great kit to build as i been looking for one to duplicate my real truck a 1972 A64B Autocar. it even comes with the turbo and intakes but they tell you not to use them. had to modify and put bigger exhaust and the hood to open like the real one also had to modify the intake and make the intake pipes from the breather to turbo. this kit is pretty accurate too in the way it goes together. i would recommend to any model builder who seeks detail. but as i noted before, the only problem was the decals. for some reason all amt's model decals are brittle and hard to work with as they break just trying to slide them off the paper when wet and placing them trying to get them straight they tear super easy. i been building these kits since the 1960's and never experienced this before like this. my only complaints are with their crappy decals.

AMT ran these kits back in the 70's and I built most of them then. I was happy to see these re-released by AMT while I was looking for a hobby to get my son involved. Great kit couldn't be happier. If you look hard enough online you can still find the Autocar Dump Truck kit too and not just the simple day cab tractor.
