Ameriwood Home Chicago Electric Fireplace TV Console for TVs up to a 50", Dove Gray

This fireplace and cabinet adds to the decore of the room for sure. Instructions were pretty good. A little hard to do alone but got it done. Can’t get the door straight. I’m sure it’s user error. But the issue isn’t noticeable to anyone but me. Good item for the price. Not the fanciest unit - but I like the look of the cabinet and the flames. Gets a 5 star.

So what to say about this other than it is truly a steal for the price? Assembly was not very difficult, it took a while but the manual was very clear and easy to follow. The unit itself has a really nice woodgrain finish and seems quite sturdy. It is labeled as being for a 50 inch tv...which is what we have on it, but honestly it could easily hold a size or two bigger. It is a fair amount wider than the TV is.I love the shelf underneath the TV, it perfectly fits a cable box and a blu ray player...or whatever you would want. For us it keeps us pointing the remotes in the same direction. I also LOVE the glass doors on the sides. They look elegant and have a decent amount of room in them. At first we were a bit scared to put something as important as photo albums in them for concerns of them getting too hot. We soon discovered though that they...or the area above where your electronics sit for that matter...don't seem to heat up at all, so that concern is gone. All in all a beautiful...and functional unit. I did receive 1 defective hinge, however their customer service got a replacement shipped out to me immediately.The fireplace portion is very nice as well. The "wood" in it actually looks much like hot coals when it is on. The flame is projected on the back and honestly looks much more realistic than I expected. The heat output is quite nice, and it is separate from the "flame" so you can have the fireplace going with or without heat. It will warm the room very quickly when you have the heat on and the fan sounds like a fan, but is pretty quiet and unintrusive. $160? You have got to be kidding me!!! Well well worth the money!!I am going to add on to this review. So we moved and I am now using this in the basement. Several years later and still going strong. As a matter of fact, I ordered the natural finish version to go upstairs. A bit more expensive now but still a great piece that compliments a room of completely different decor perfectly. I would also add that the design of the hinges has been updated and it is much easier now to get the glass doors lined up correctly, big win in my opinion!!

The media could not be loaded. I love that this little fireplace puts out a good amount of heat and will be great for the winter months to take the chill out of the air. I may end up waiting a little longer before turning the gas heat on. I know it’ll cost a bit more on my electric bill however, for the beautiful ambiance I’m willing to pay. Oops did I just say that out loud 😳 Anyway, in my opinion it’s worth every penny even though it had 278 pieces, or so it seemed. Directions were not always clear. Some steps were actually skipped. :/ Luckily my uncle was able to figure it out. I definitely recommend this fireplace/entertainment center for anyone considering it. I’d buy it again in a heartbeat. Oh, and it came 4 days earlier than the original eta.I got it in Dove Grey and it matches my floors beautifully! Love that, too!

I bought this for myself and my fiancé after we thought a fireplace would look great under our TV and next to our cozy Christmas tree. I found this TV stand/fireplace combo, and instantly bought it, as it looked great in the photos, and had the fireplace included. It was exactly what we were looking for. I do woodworking on the side (specifically, I have made a good bit of furniture), and opted to buy something like this versus trying to build it during the busy holidays!Packaging - first opening the box, the stand was decently package. Everything was covered in a mess of Styrofoam though, and I think the glass door pieces could have been protected better, but ultimately everything was in excellent condition, except for the base (see pictured). One end was pretty much busted off. I ended up drilling it together with some pocket holes. The base is all held together with plastic mending corners, most of which are stapled in. I was disappointed to see the base, which supports the weight of the entire unit, held together by staples.Another piece that wasn't broken but annoyed me, was the top base, where the TV sets on. One routed end piece of it was not perfectly lined up, and had this ugly black gap in it (pictured). I disassembled it and reassembled to rid it of the gap. Everything that came pre-assembled looked very rushed and thrown together.Assembly - this is a more difficult piece to assemble. If you haven't put together furniture before, this might be in a little over your head to put together. There's a lot of pieces to it, and a lot of locking mechanisms that have to be perfectly centered up and hammered into place, or the unit can't be assembled correctly. I recommend having a power drill and rubber mallet in your possession to put it together in a non-destructive and timely manner.Post assembly - this is a beautiful piece of furniture. There are quite a few small gaps in spots after assembly, but most can be hidden with a furniture putty gap filler. The biggest downside, to me, are the doors. Not only are they not properly sized for the stand, but the hinges are cheap, low quality hinges. The adjusting screws on one were broke, forcing me to use a washer to try to level out the door, forcing me to have both doors to have an ugly black gap to look even with each other.Final thoughts - this is a great TV stand, and I would buy it again! It is a beautiful, realistic looking (wood grain) piece of furniture. The pickiness regarding the gaps and doors are largely coming from the woodworker in me, but I felt they were still important to point out. If you want an absolutely perfect piece of furniture out of the box, this is not for you. But if you enjoy assembling things like this, and have some know-how as to level up pieces and fill in the gaps, you'll have no problems with it. Even professional furniture has touch up work done in the end. My last comments are on the fireplace itself - the fire animation is beautiful and fairly realistic. The heat output is decent, but we were a little disappointed, as it doesn't quite heat our downstairs up as well as a quartz heater we've been using for years. All in all, though, I would recommend this product.PROS- Beautiful piece of furniture at a steal of a price- Decent heat output with nice fire animation- wood grain model looks beautiful and realistic- Unit seems very sturdy and well-built when all put together- Perfectly fits our TV and the shelf-section is great for game systems as well as decorations- Not overly heavy or cumbersome to move aroundCONS- Advanced assembly for newcomers- Poor craftsmanship and gaps in areas- Door hinges suck- Fireplace could be warmer, and is missing climate controls

Had some trouble getting it the first time, but amazon made things right and sent a new one. When it finally arrived and got it out you could tell it was made well. Haven't used the heater portion of the fire place, but the flames and coal bed look nice. Not very hard to put together, easier with two people though.

Le montage du meuble a duré 2 heures à 2 personnes. La couleur est magnifique et répond aux attentes. Nous avons dû solidifier la base dont le travers était détaché. Je dois m’habituer maintenant à regarder la télé dans un nouvel angle puisque le meuble est plus haut. Les fausses flammes répond aux attentes et donne de l’ambiance au salon.

tres bo meuble cela ma pris 2h30 pour le montagejuste a suivre les instructions et se monte tres bienun coup monter il est tres bo et super le feu de foyeron dirais que c un vrai feu....je recommande
