3+ years and still a great item
I have used this timer connected to all my exterior landscape lights for 3 years now and love it. There are a lot of ways to program and connect the timer, so make sure you experiment a bit to find which works best for your application. I have had several power outages for days at a time and this timer always continues to work when power is restored with no additional attention. I really like the auto-adjusting on/off times and the light override connection which allows a switch to be placed by my doors to activate the lights at alternative times. For smaller applications (i.e. room lights) I use the Econoswitch RPLS740B but for larger power applications in remote areas, this timer is perfect. I ordered a second one today to gift to my brother. After 5 years the internal battery finally started failing requiring a reprogram after some power outages. It was a simple fix to get a new battery and replace (a little soldering), but it is back. I tried a few other timers first but didn't like them as much. So I am back to using this trusted one to operate all my outside lights.

EXCELLENT OUTDOOR TIMER
Purchased this for outdoor lighting of flag at night and for a timed outlet for Christmas lights during holiday season. Happy owner of multiple Honewell indoor sunset / sunrise wall timers. Needed an outdoor timer that followed sunset / sunrise schedule effortlessly. This has the added bonus of seperate load for timed / switched operation.Installation was simple. Hardest part was removed one of three cutouts on bottom of box. I suggest using boring bit rather than trying to pop and snap with screwdriver / pliers as you risk breaking plastic. Three screws and box is mounted. Ran 3/4 electrical PVC to outdoor junction box.Wiring was simple as well. Diagram was a little confusing. Even an electrician friend scratched his head when he read it.Simply run your line (black) and neutral (white) into this timer. Pigtail three black wires (line) and one will go to power, one to load 1 "in" and the last to load 2 "in". The neutral goes to power "neutral". Now take two new black wires, run them from load 1 "out" and load 2 "out". Connect our fixture (load) to a ground and a neutral and the particular load (black wire) coming from the timer and you are done.Programming was simple. Enter current time, current date with specfiied format (day number), lat / long and you are done. Load 2 always follows sunset / sunrise format. Load 1 can be programmed for sunset / specific off time - switched time, specific on / off times, switched on - sunset - specific off - switched times, etc. Very versatile, solidly constructed and priced right.Purchase again? Timer works Perfectly
I'm the president of a co-op. We have building lights and parking lot lights that are on timers. The way it was setup back in the 60's we can't use photovoltaic. The majority of our timers were Intermatic mechanical that our Superintendent has to waste time updating every two weeks. After looking online we decided to go with a timer based on the solar schedule. We first chose a Sylvania model, but were disappointed. The Sylvania only turns on at Sunset. It then turns off 8 hours later with no bearing if the sun is already up or it is still dark.We then found these Honeywell ones. They do exactly what we want with no problems. Only thing is that you have to enter your longitude and latitude in, but that only take 5 seconds to find out on Google. We have about 10 more timers we need to replace and we plan to replace them all with this model.

Cheap plastic box
Plastic is very brittle. Possibly a CQ issue on this one batch but beware it could horribly crack when you knock out the punch out.

My upgrade for the 21st century
This unit replaced my 30yr old mechanical timer that I used to turn on and off lites at night. After installing this timer, NO MORE RESETTING when it gets dark too soon! This thing really works and adjusts itself for the seasonal sunrise/sunset changes. You can even adjust it if you need to switch a little earlier or later too. Wow! now I can just go outside and enjoy the sunsets and sunrises AND save $$ on the electricity bill!

Excellent Product
The best feedback I can give you is that this is the fourth one I have bought. Not because they break, but because I like them so much and find so many useful applications for them to save energy and improve system performance. I have three in service so far in a harsh pump room environment, and they have performed flawlessly for a year. This timer was designed by engineers that took pride in their work. I know, because I am one. Keep in mind there are two models, the 040 and the 044. Please review both to be sure you are getting the functionality required for your application. One is a very capable programmable timer, and the other has that functionality plus the ability to control a second circuit with respect to time and sunrise/sunset. You won't be disappointed.

Replaced my original after 5 years
Power surge finally took out the electronic panel of my first T1044 but I immediately ordered another one. Company support sucks (light sensor was off by at least 90 minutes toward the end of its life and the company didn't even bother responding to my polite inquiry), but why bother with them when price is so reasonable and Amazon delivers quickly? I use the Aube for lights on my stone wall at the end of the driveway. Works perfectly although you do need to read the directions carefully -- it took a while to really understand Load 1 and Load 2 but finally wrote down step-by-step for ME and it was A-OK.

Very good product. Very poor installation instructions.
The product itself works well and the features for programability or the solar cycle are excellent. The installation instructions leave a lot to be desired. The drawing indicates the hot wire side of the circuit is jumped across the wiring bridge when in fact you need to wire the jumpers. The programming is not very intuitive though those instructions are good and programming is easy once you understand it. It is primarily being used to operate landscape lights on the solar cycle and works well.

Excellent
Needed a timer with operating temperatures as low as -40 C.This unit is very well built. It suites perfectly my needs, despite its somewhat limited programming capabilities. Before buying, read the installation and user guide available on the Resideo (Honeywell Aube) web site to understand what kind of programming it offers. As suggested by a previous reviewer, I used a boring bit to remove the knockouts without any trouble. Also make sure you install it so that the displays are at eye level, otherwise you may find them difficult to read.

Optional Sunset - Sunrise would have been nice
It is a great timer although a bit confusing to set upIt would be better if the load 2 circuit could have a optional feature so it could shut off at a set time so the lights didn't burn all night.
