I bought this shovel as a survival tool for camping and hiking, but I also found it very useful for gardening. Compact, durable! Easy to stow

I received my TAC9ER E-tool on the 4th day after I ordered it on amazon. It was well packaged and arrived without any damage.This tool is an exact copy of the US Army E-tool whose design is, in my opinion, far better than all the "multitools" sold on amazon. The entire tool is made of heavy duty iron with NO plastic parts. The locking mechanism is tight. The spade head can be securely locked in 5 different positions just as the Army E-tool.The tool is shipped UNSHARPENED. The thick layer of paint may even round off all four edges a bit. But after only a few hours of recreational use on a beach, the two front edges already lost their paint and were quickly being sharpened by the sand. With more usage I think it might eventually be sharp enough to cut my finger, or cut/chop/saw down a tree.I will not repeat its versatile functionality here. Any one familiar with the E-tool should already know that. Forget about those flimsy and unproven "multitools". If you want something tough, reliable, and can complete real world heavy duty tasks, this is the only design.

Gave 4stars because haven’t used it yet. You can cut ,chop and dig with this compact shovel. It seems to be well made and comes with a carrying case.

This shovel is high quality and heavy duty while compacting down to a portable size.Constructed entirely of metal it works well for heavy duty digging. Great for digging cat holes and fire pits, even in compacted and rocky soil. I haven’t used it for trenching yet, but I’m sure it will work great for that as well.It’s not lightweight, but worth packing if you need a good strong shovel.My only complaint is the plastic case. It’s too rigid and bulky to pack or carry. A fabric or leather case would be better.

I needed a replacement Snow and emergency shovel for my new car. These shovels may be small, but they get the job done and are easily storable in your vehicle. My old one accidently got left in the trunk of my old car. when it was donated as scarp for the American Legion.

These are the most sturdy Etool I have found out there. These shovels are durable and will hold up for the long run. I’ve destroyed more cheap Etools trying to find a good one than I care to remember, but this one makes me happy. If you have ever really needed one you understand exactly what I’m saying to you. Don’t make the same mistakes I have made, buy this one and you too will be happy you did
