Great Value Fuel Filter That Keeps Engines Running Smoothly
I have several vehicles that require this filter, and they’re an inexpensive, reliable choice. I typically change them every 20,000 miles or so. They fit perfectly and are quick and easy to replace, giving added protection to the fuel system. I’ve also used these filters on a vehicle that had been sitting unused for a few years—changing the filter a few times over a couple tanks of gas helped clean out the system and get the engine back to running smoothly. Considering the price, it’s definitely worth the effort to swap them out regularly.

Good Quality, Inexpensive Replacement Fuel Filter
For the price (about half to a third of name brand filters), it appears to be of good quality, at least externally. The exterior is powder coated rather than plated, but that should not affect its life to any significant degree. For my application (1996 Ford Ranger), the connections were a little snug, probably because the powder coating was not accounted for in the connection dimensions. Sometimes the thickness of a coating is important, but snug is good on push-on fittings. New plastic retaining clips were included in the box, as well. If it filters and I have no reason to suspect it won't, it's a great buy.

Great for in-line filter on 5/16 fuel line
I use this filter on my Ford truck, and I keep a spare. But I needed a in-line filter for 30HP industrial engine and this worked great with 5/16 fuel line.

Don’t waste your time, doesn’t fit, paint flakes off, and fittings are backwards.
How I learned gasoline will cause a serious chemical burn, thanks to this garbage filter.Application: 1998 Ford 4.0L SOHCVarious serious issues.1) This filter doesn’t insert into or fit into the fuel line fittings because the filter is painted black. The paint adds to the OD of the filter and makes it get stuck in the fuel lines.2) After fighting it for 30 minutes I realized they even put the fitting for the output/input size backwards to the direction of the arrow indicating which way fuel should flow.3) Because this filter is painted and gasoline dissolves that paint, the flakes of paint then now end up in your gas lines, new filter (if you can install it!), and injectors!4) Because I fought this for 30+ minutes rolling around on the ground I ended up with a nasty chemical burn from gasoline soaking into my clothes!Do yourself a favor and buy the OEM filter.
