This battery and charger were purchased to replace a spent non-lithium battery for my impact wrench. The recharging time of the lithium battery is very short and the charging station and battery seem very well made. The battery fits perfectly in my C3 device. The initial torque in my wrench is exceptionally good when the battery is freshly charged, being able to break free bolts that the old battery couldn't power through. But I've noticed after 1 or 2 bolts or lugnuts that the torque drops off dramatically to a plateau that is slightly lower than the max of the old battery. This is the only reason why I take off a star. The charge is strong enough and held long enough to remove at least 20 bolts, but the initial drop of torque keeps me feeling like my charge will end prematurely as would happen on my old battery. This battery does not have a charge indicator, so it is hard to know exactly what charge actually remains.All-in-all it is a good battery and charger though. For the price I would have hoped to have had a charge indicator and more of a classic Lithium Ion discharge response.

This charger will revive nickel cadmium batteries that the Ni-Cd charger won't charge. I purchased this combo charger after reading other reviews that said the same. Instead of buying a new, inexpensive, knock-off Ni-Cd battery, I dug down and bought this charger instead. And I'm glad I did. I pulled an old Ni-Cd battery out of the recycle bin, and sure enough, this charger quickly revived it. If I had know that was possible I would have done this years ago. From now on however, I'll just be buying the lithium Ion batteries.This charger also came with a compact Li-Ion battery that will work as a backup or for quick jobs. The auto-shutoff is also a great feature.I have at least five C3 tools, and have been using them for several years. Knowing that there is still a future for these tools is reassuring. If you want more life out of your old C3 tools - and batteries - do yourself a favor and spring for this charger before buying another Ni-Cd battery.

I have several of the Craftsman 19.2 volt tools & the Ni-Cad battteries. The old original charger would no longer charge the batteries. The new charger works on the old Ni-Cad's and also works on the Litium-ion batteries.

Worked perfect but my drill was old and burned the motor drill up.

I bought a knockoff charger made by Lasica, I think. Amazon doesn't even sell it anymore, and won't answer any comments/questions about it. The charger didn't work, and even worse, zapped two of my Lithium Batteries and two of my NiCad Batteries. So now, after buying this and another battery, I got a lesson for 160 bucks. Stick with Craftsman for Craftsman Tools!

Should've upgraded to these years ago. I had a full set of these Craftsman tools with the original Ni-Cad batteries that were just collecting dust in the garage because they'd run out of juice within minutes. Even though the tools were a few years old (6-7 years) they were still like new so I figured it might be worth the investment to get the lithium batteries vs. buying a newer set of tools. So happy I went with upgrading the batteries. Tools run better than when they were brand new. Since getting this battery and charger kit, I've purchases 2 more lithium batteries so I can confidently take on larger projects without any downtime.
