I'm always looking for items that I can get at a discount or at garge sales that can be donated to animal shelters. Two weeks ago I was able to get a medium and large size dog carrier for $30. The only problem was the bolts were missing from the large carrier. Both were in really good condition so I bought them. I did a search for the bolt and ordered the Pet Carrier Metal Fasteners Nuts Bolts. They fit completely and perfectly! And since the carrier is airline approved now the shelter has a another carrier that can be used for the "Freedom Flights." Thank you so much!

These worked great, Alaska Airlines took the crates no problem with these fasteners.. It was also nice that we did not need a wrench to put on or take off. Can do it with your hands. Arrived quickly and are very solid. Put them on our crate from Hawaii to Seattle, with 60 pound dogs in the carrier. The dogs never flew before so we wanted to make sure they did not get out. The screws were all still attached and tight when we picked them up in Seattle. Continue to use a few for the crates that they sleep in now.

Needed this to upgrade a crate to make it meet the regulations for flying a pet on an airplane. So much easier than going to the hardware store trying to find the correct hardware. Needed to make sure the hardware was the correct ones since they check this well at the airport. Good buy as well.

These fasteners work great and are airline-approved. I like to make sure I don't have any problems at the airport, and had read that metal fasteners were required. The people at the Alaska check-in desk didn't say anything about it except that all those little holes all around the kennel have to have a nut and bolt. I was glad I had them!

I purchased these (1-1/4" medium bolts) for my Petmate Sky Kennel for Pets Up to 15-Pound. These worked great for my travel with a cat from Miami to Kuala Lumpur (Miami -> Doha, Doha -> Kuala Lumpur with Qatar airways).

Used these fasteners on 2 kennels for air travel. One dog was 42lbs the other around 35lbs, and had no issues on our 6 hour flight. Most kennels come with plastic nuts so you'll have to get these if you're taking your pet on an airplane. Also gives you peace of mind that they won't break off.
