Designed for easy installation on most toilets, this polished chrome device operates on four AA batteries and enhances your restroom's modern aesthetic while promoting cleanliness. ## Description This is the first generation development of Jones Stephens’ CleanWave sensor activated toilet flush system and is suitable for front mounted trip levers only. This lever fits most toilets with front-mounted flush levers. It is NOT compatable with toilets with flush levers on the side of the tank or on an angled corner of the tank. Thil lever is not compatable with ""tower"" style flush valves or cable actuated flush valves. To check if your toilet is compatable lift the lid off your toilet's tank. If there is a chain connecting the flush lever arm to the flush valve your toilet IS compatable. If your toilet does not have a chain it is NOT compatable with this system. The electronics allow for a sensor activated flush once every 45 seconds to prevent accidental flushes. However, it was showing intermittent operation right from day one. The wires that connected to the battery pack and the wires connected to the connector that goes to the flush handle, do not have strain-reliefs and are extremely weak and flimsy. It would not be surprising to see these wires break inside their insulation after users have used the unit for some weeks/months. The users would always need to remove the battery pack to replace the batteries, thereby causing the flimsy wires to get bent repeatedly which is likely to cause a failure.After wiggling the wires, the unit began to work but now it shows a blue blinking light (showing that it is ready) but the flush does not run, even if I put my hand directly over or in contact with the sensor. The batteries were brand new Duracell alkaline AA.I will try a replacement to see if it was one bad unit in hundreds. For this price you would expect the thing to work. Worked properly maybe 5 times and now it doesn't if work. I have to manually flush. I did that before I spent the money.
