Gaviscon Advance Aniseed Flavour Oral Suspension 300ml

This offers so much more relief in comparison to regular gaviscon and has longer lasting effect. I personally don’t mind the taste at all but I can imagine it’s not for everyone. It has a much thicker consistency than the regular stuff. This has been a lifesaver throughout my pregnancy. Can definitely recommend.

Background not a drinker or smoker- but started with stomach issues as a child.It's genetic I purchased gaviscon because sometimes I feel the need to give my body a holiday from ppi meds. I have had barretts oesophagus for some 9 years. Initially I was having a 6 monthly endoscopy at my local hospital to monitor the abnormal cells in my oesophagus and thier movement-but since the pandemic I do not have any support for this sometimes quite scary and painful condition(Especially at night) I must emphasise gaviscon *advance* is a world away better for extreme acid problems than ordinary gaviscon. Even if you have had ulcers this could help a very stubborn case of hyperacidity Long term use is not advised because of the high sodium content- this warning is from the maker and not a criticism of my own. To summarise (and in my case) I can be so poorly to be aspirating acid, then take 10ml of this and be well enough to go back to ppis in 3-4 days. For the price this is quite something and as long as you have no issues with sodium intake I would recommend it. Always ask your doctor if you are unsure.

This works well, but I prefer the tablets. I feel they are better value for money as they last longer and I find they give a better result. I don't like the feeling of the film that is left in my mouth after taking the liquid version.

Highly effective as it always prevents or soothes indigestion. Love the taste and it's a good sized bottle that lasts a long time and is value for money

I would have loved the Aniseed version of Gaviscon as have had it before so I thought would reorder but was delivered the Peppermint one instead so am giving 5 star's for the Aniseed one

This product is a life saver. I have suffered really badly with Gerd and I know my GP will just tell me to lose weight. It had got worse keeping me awake at night I tried propping up my pillow, taking slippery elm everything on Google I changed my diet I got bored with bland food but it was really affecting me I chomped through a pack of 24 Gaviscon within 48 hours I knew something had to be done. I bought this based on reviews and can honestly say this is the best thing ever. The past week I have slept through the night without food or acid flowing back up. I would recommend this to anyone who has suffered like me. I am using this as a stop gap till I lose some more weight then I can get proper medical help.
