I am a big fan of books anyway, but a manual that was released in 1916 for such a specific purpose is fantastic. This book has allowed me to journal more efficiently and completely than I was ever able to do before.

It will be a big help on some projects that require fast writtingand being able to understand what was written.

Repeating my shorthand, so fun

Brought back memories when I learned shorthand in high school. Also, took a couple of college classes at the local community college. Good refresher.

I have a couple Gregg Shrothand books now. This one is by far the best one. Why? The first lesson is tough on like shaped sounds. The K, G, R, and L are all shaped alike. Then the M and N. Followed by the T and D then thrown in is the H. When I learned International Morse Code this was the type of approach they used as well. The E and the T. Build form there to the I and the M followed by adding A and N. Etc. So far I am having fun scribbling notes. My hope is to become somewhat proficient in using shorthand because I suck at spellen and shorthand spells like I do.Now with that said.... I am just now getting to words and phrases.... Wish me luck!

I ordered the paperback. The book is 9 x 6 inches and instead of formatting the print to fit the page, it is published with the original 6 x 4 inch pages of the original on much larger pages. Half each page is white space with tiny little print, like they xeroxed the page onto a larger page. Impossible to read. Will have to return.

Great little book, 5x7. I always loved shorthand - it is like another language to me. This book has all the reminders anyone would want and/or need if you were trying to brush up on your shorthand. I wanted it just for sentimental reasons - reminds me of younger days, small red and worn on the outside and pocket-size. A fun book to have.
