Don’t wait! If your filter is gross replace it.
Don’t wait two years to replace yours like I did. A fresh filter made my purifier probably 5 times as powerful. A must-buy during the north India pollution season. Thanks to Phillips for great quality replacement parts. Protip: if you touch your HEPA filter and have sticky black grime on your fingers, it’s time for a new one :)

Not Genuine Philips product
Not a genuine Philips HEPA filter. The plastic wrap was sealed as if someone had melted it with a candle. Visible glue was around the edges, and the filter had a bad, solvent-like smell.
