Asus Rt-N 12+ (New) Wireless N300 3-in-1 Router/Ap/Range Extender for Large Environment - Dual Band

This router is worth the 900 bucks i paid for it... it being an N300 router for this price beats other N150 router costlier than this too.The GUI is awesome. Very easy to use and also very technical..Loads of features. The guest SSID (up to to 3 extra) is a really nice feature. Range is quite good too. And it looks very stylish which is nice. ASUS excellent brand. Very happy so far. Haven't used the repeater and AP modes yet, but all in all very good product!

First router was returned as it was disconnecting frequently, and sometime was not discover able on windows 10 devices. After following up with Amazon, got immediate replacement. Thanks to Amazon & Seller.Replacement router too had similar problem. I know ASUS is very reputed brand and quality / reliable equipment manufacturer hence was sure there is something wrong with configuration / setup / update and not with the product. Hence I contacted ASUS for technical support. Surprisingly got a call from ASUS almost immediately, and after some settings I was offered a link for latest firmware. After firmware update its working smooth. I believe new firmware is optimized to work with Windows 10 OS 64 Bit Version.*Windows 10 users please make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your WiFi Network adapter. Some time auto-update is not enough you need to install them manually.Range is lower than my previous Belkin Router but speed is far better than Belkin. Two different routers may perform differently in terms of range, and even just a router location change could work well. One router may work well at a particular location and other may not work well at that location but may work well or even better at some other location. Need to find out best suitable location in order to get better range.Router has 3 Modes, you can select any one of it.1. Router.2. Access Point.3. Range Extender. (Repeater)Additional useful features :a) VPN Support. (Virtual Private Network - to access Private resources securely over a Public Network.b) Up to 3 Guest Accounts. Allows limited access to only internet not to your local network. You can configure Network name SSID, password, and time duration for the account.c) Traffic Manager (QOS) To control inbound & outbound network traffic of both wired & wireless Network.d) Parental Control. Allows you to set time limit for a specific client. (Bandwidth can be controlled with QOS)e) Firewall with URL / Keyword / Network Service filter.Amazon service is good.Product is very good.ASUS service and product support is very good.Go for it.

ASUS RT-N 12+ (New) Wireless N300 3-in-1 Router/AP/Range Extender for Large Environment I had bought this to work as a range extender.It does work as advertised but the range is too low! I have placed this in a 250 sq ft with the parent A.P about 30 ft away with one wall in between.So this does give about -55db (2-3 sticks) of wifi in the room however as I move away and cross a wall, the signal fluctuates a lot.Also one problem is that if you choose another name for the repeated network, it does not seem to be able to give net access from the parent AP.This is a cheap chinese alternative to the very good asus router RTN - D 12 which is priced around 2200/- and is a much better buy.The setup wizard was a breeze.

It's not easily connecting and much problematic device to configure.

This is an awesome router. the dual 5 dBi antennae offer excellent range as long as you keep it in a free clear and open space. You can use it as a router/a repeater(repeating another network signal)/Access Point(where the router is taking data in the blue port from another router or modem)Note this router supports 1Gbps ONLY if you are connected both ways with a CAT5e or CAT6 cable and both endpoints(machines) support 1Gbps.I have two of these setup as router-repeater combo. Just make sure you don't setup the same WiFi channel when you set it up as a repeater. That will cause massive network drops and losses.

First of all thanks to amazon...!!! because amazon deliver this product in just 2 days...i'm really shocked when i am checking the box of this product it shows 5000 Rs. of MRP yes 5000 Rs. and amazon is giving to me in 950 Rs.This router is look like a small robot. Very small in size. but, please not go with this size. It is more large in connectivity and networking purpose. I'm previously using D-link and TP-link router comparing to all ASUS is best of one. As i read other customer review i read that led of router is not blinking according with connectivity. But, after upgrading latest firmware led of router is same blinking as my D-link and TP-link router.by the way excellent router.Thanks to amazon and asus to make me satisfied...!!!

i like the range.. although it weakens between floors.. support for dd-wrt is added advantage... i thought i can limit bandwidth in access point mode.. i am using it to extend my existing wifi for my tenant upstairs.. unfortunately i don't have QOS which allows me to limit BW to them. i will explore this option further later using dd wrt..one thing i had to struggle with is in access point mode.. the end client gets an ip from my base wifi router (to which ASUS is wired to). In this situation i struggled to find the management ip for ASUS. I know this is a known behavior.. maybe Asus should reserve the mgmt ip in their firmware to make it more manageable in access point mode... for the rest of the people. i found the IP using my parent wifi ( in the attached devices list )

Routeur Asus RT-N12+ wireless N300Bien que noté compatible avec un vpn sur le site d'Asus, ce modèle ne propose pas le protocole OpenVPN nécessaire à l'utilisation de NordVPN.De plus le peu que je l ai utilisé, j ai trouvé le débit wifi très lent.Le logiciel d'Asus est relativement bien fait et facile d'utilisation avec des tutos.Je change pour le Asus RT-AC68U, 100€ plus cher mais conseillé pour l'utilisation avec un VPN...

Das Gerät hat einen sehr niedrigen Stromverbrauch. Ich habe unter 2 Watt gemessen. Dementsprechend ist der Datendurchsatz aber nicht so stark wie bei den großen Modellen. Es gibt 3 Betriebs-Modi:-Router-Access Point-RepeaterBei mir ist er AP hinter einem dicken Router. IPv6 läuft problemlos.Firmware war 3.0.0.4.380_10809, die ist offenbar etwas neuer als die auf der Internetseite verfügbare.

Prodotto veramente ottimo. Io lo utilizzo come extender, ovvero, lui riceve il segnale wifi da una chiavetta TIM 4g e rilancia il segnale wifi per tutta la casa. Oltre a questo distribuisce sempre tale segnale anche sulle 4 porte LAN per poter collegare dispositivi con cavo di rete.Per coloro che vogliono usarlo come modem: Questo dispositivo NON è un modem ADSL, ovvero non ha l'ingresso per il cavo telefonico.Sul retro è presente una porta WAN che la si può utilizzare per collegare cavi provenienti da antenne esterne. E' quindi possibile usare questo dispositivo per connessioni come LINKEM, EOLO ecc...Si installa in un attimo, facilissimo.

Premetto che lo uso come ripetitore, non avendo il cavo telefonico nella stanza dove ho il PC, ed il modem è nell'ingresso di casa, l'ho acquistato per essere usato come le classiche antenne USB da applicare nel retro del PC. Infatti ho appeso al muro questo router, che usato come ripetitore, ripete la rete del wifi, (ovviamente il nome della rete non è uguale a quella originaria) ed ho usato un cavo ethernet per collegarlo al PC fisso. Wifi stabile e la velocità è più che buona. Intanto la cosa che davvero trovo valida, è che scaricando l'app proprietaria, si può gestire il router dal telefonino, compreso l'aggiornamento del firmware...senza dover diventare matti a scaricare un file spesso compresso, decomprimerlo e poi caricarlo sul device. Con l'app si fa il tutto con un solo clik...Poi sono 3 apparecchi in uno...Router, repeater ed access point....in più di dimensioni decisamente contenute. Ne ho preso pure uno di riserva...sia mai che lo tolgano dalla produzione....
