I purchased this for my 16 year daughter who strained her ankle in soccer. I bought it based on the reviews from several sites. Her ankle measured 10" around so according to the size chart, that would have been a size 5. I ordered the size 3 & 4 based on my gut feeling. The 3 fit perfect with some room as well. She possibly could have went with a size 2 for more compression but decided to stay with the 3. If you are a woman or teen, I would recomend sizing down!

Excellent support for posterior tibial tendonitis
I've been wearing the MalleoTrain for a few weeks due to Posterior Tibial Tendonitis. It has been very helpful. The rubber parts of the brace have prevented my ankle from swelling. It gives excellent support while walking. My only concern - other than the high price - is that I often get pressure marks on the top of my foot where the brace comes in contact with my shoe. (This happens to me with other braces so not specific to this one.)

Recieved one of these from my Dr after my full ankle replacement surgery and bought another one so I could wash and rotate the sleeves. Provided immediate pain and swelling relief. Very comfortable and can be worn underneath either a CAM boot or normal shoe. Well worth the cost.Should only be worn directly on the foot with any socks over the top.

Bauerfiend Braces
I have used Bauerfiend braces on both my ankle and knees a d they are by far the best braces I have ever used. They are over priced in my opinion but they do a great job so I'm willing to spend the money. Highly recommended
