The Songs of Bacharach & David

This is very quickly becoming my favourite piano book. It has 23 of the most popular Bacharach and David songs, beautifully arranged and with an interesting background piece talking about the songwriters and their collaboration at the beginning. My favourites are Message to Michael and San Jose. I am also please that it is one of those books that the pages stay open when you are playing and I don't have to keep stopping to re open the pages. The book is for Piano Vocal and Guitar and although I have played it mainly on piano, the guitar part looks very interesting too.

A great collection of some classics from the 60's and forward by two of the best American songwriters of the post-war period.Often disparaged as mere 'easy listening' these are brilliant songs whish you can play time and again for pleasure.

Excellent for teaching songs to my more senior pupils who go misty-eyed with nostalgia!

Some pleasure in it. But not much of a sense of accomplishment. Good for a singalong I guess

A great resource for anyone keen to play the music with others and have useful arrangements as a basis for your own intepretations.

This is exactly what I was seeking - a book of the best of Hal David and Burt Bacharach music with guitar chords and symbols.

Good book with lyrics and top line included.
